How do you get new offline clients without cold calling?

Any advice? Software? Anyone who is experienced with this and what they do or use to get new clients offline without cold calling?

What would you say are the best methods? tips you could give?

Thanks so much

    "Marketing"

Advertisements, corner signs, flyers with your website and an offer on them, craigslist ads, chamber of commerce events, BNI meetings, networking events...

I agree with Jason, if you don't want to make calls then you need to get face to face time with the buyers.

look for any local networking events and go to them.
Join linkedin and start building up contacts and posting USEFUL things on there

Just don't expect to nab a client the first time you see them. Build a relationship, and don't do the usual "i can get your site to number 1 coz I am awesome" pitch, find what they want from the Internet.

It is not always a simple "more clients" sometimes they want higher paying clients. I recently spoke to someone about their ecommerce business locally and he told me he actually didnt care about his 2 shops or the ecommerce site attached to them because he was concentrating on the wholesale business.

      Good luck

Have you considered direct mail? Hopefully you're at least comfortable on the phone when talking to warm leads, this is a skill you will need in the offline world when prospecting, seeing as it is the most common form of communication small business owners use.

How much business are you after and how much time do you have to develop new business? Do you have a good handle on what you are trying to sell, and how to sell it?

The fastest way is probably telemarketing if you don't already have a network of people in place. Wish I had all the help here to get started when I hired a couple of telemarketers quite a few years ago as it might well have changed my dislike of telemarketing.

Personally, I am a lot more comfortable hitting up the network as I can ask more questions with a better chance of getting help finding other clients ... and honest answers .

If you are selling Offline Marketing to business owners, I would suggest you become your own first client. If you can't rank and generate leads for yourself, how can you do it for your clients? Not being mean here, call it tough love :-)

I know you won't like the answer - but to be true - you can't start it successfully without doing some calling. May be you can avoid the cold calling part - but if you don't want to talk over phone - it's difficult to reach out to these local businesses.

    For getting some pre-sold clients
    1) you can implement auto-dialers like openvbx
    2) create an email letter and blast it to local businesses to get initial interest
    3) outsource telecalling to someone else - if lucky you might get someone for per lead basis
    4) use some paid adevrtising to generate leads

    Hope that was helpful.
