How I met my first clients and made my first $100 at the same time
Hi all, just a short and small success story of mine from the past.
When I first got into offline marketing, the idea of re-selling SEO and SMS campaigns really excited me.
But how can a beginner just approach businesses with these big ideas?
Here's what I did:
- I advertised "Free Website" development and design. This brought in clients very easily. I just asked around and posted a couple times on craigslist.
- I charged nothing, but I had them sign up for their hosting through my HostGator affiliate link. This made me $50 each.
- I installed wordpress for them and transferred content, but that was it.
- I then charged more for additional design and features.
- After building a relationship with them through the process, I talked to them about some of the other services I could offer like SEO and SMS campaigns.
