so many aspiring actors & actresses (who didn't want to wait tables and make more money)
the good ones, on the phone, got into the role.
(somethings I liked here, some I didn't)

If you’re smart, you learn to willfully disassociate, to compartmentalize. Putting your emotions into a safety box definitely comes in handy when the public throws stones. The point is to survive, intact or not, whatever the emotional cost."
