OFFLINE MARKETING

I used to suck at cold calling, until I started doing this.

Here's my routine.

I drive to the park (5 minutes)
I listen to daily audio bible while taking a walk around the park.
So that's a bit of exercise as well (10 minutes)
I follow that lap with 2 minutes of meditation, it's just ummm ummmm (listen), breath (listen) breath (listen), ummm ummmm (listen)...u c?
Then I get in my car and sing along with a song, (get into it).
At this point i'm arriving back home in my car (5 minutes), when you open the door, sit there for a minute and listen to sounds, but don't focus on the sounds, focus on the silence between the sounds.

Now, you'll be living in the moment and person youre selling to won't be, giving you a distinct advantage in response time.

I actually listen to music and sing along loudly before I begin my cold calling sessions - helps to warm up the voice hahaha.

  Cold calling while being stoned would suck for the person doing and probably for the person on the other end who would be dealing with a 'laggy' version of yourself. not such a great thing to do haha.

Hmm, Interesting, very Interesting! That would make me a little tired. LOL

Here is how I do it. I have leads in front me, pick up the phone, dial the number and let the show begin! Repeat - Repeat till you are tired or have a deal, maybe!

Ya Ken, You're absolutely correct once the flood gates open up go with it! If you are on a roll go with it.

But for me it depends on what kind of deals you are closing or the services you are offering one or two a day might be just fine :-)

I think the OP has a cool idea but it wont be for everybody. You can't expect what works for someone else to work for you. I don't do anything special particularly, I just get my game face/voice on and start hustling.

I guess if it works for you, do it, but that routine daily would have me tired out before I get to work! Having done this for years, I tend to wake up...wander downstairs, eat breakfast, find a movie or something on DVR and start calling. Some of my most productive days are in pj's

No humming, no chanting, no spooky stuff.

OP, until you REMOVE those crutches, you WILL NEVER become a superstar!

Until you get in attack mode, your production will be mediocre or worse.

By the way, you sound like Time Tebow, LOL.

Sounds like a crutch to me also, unless of course you walk around like that in normal life.

The OP is stating what works for him, and what works for all of us is different, saying he'll never be a superstar isn't a bad thing.

If being a "superstar" means sounding like an idiot.

I am never in attack mode on the phone, I don't even know what that means. Are you trying to scare people into buying your product? Sounds like hype and someone who has zero idea of how to talk to people. These are the kinds of ads you see everywhere, and when I see them on CL or somewhere else I report them as spam. No serious adult uses the terms "ROCK STAR, SUPERSTAR, BAM, BOOM" to post a job, or describe themselves.
