I hope this serves as some encouragement to others on this forum that are just starting out. I cannot stress how important it is for you to become your first client. Focus on marketing yourself through different marketing funnels -- Currently my online marketing consists of the following:
This morning, I spent 3 hours working on my marketing for my business which resulted in this lead. (Please look at attached picture)
I am currently testing 3 different ads on Craigslist to see if I get any results from them. I have followed 400 people on twitter and then posted an article related to my expertise. I worked on updating my LinkedIn account and increasing it's SEO content. I posted 20 ads in different section and cities.
I'm sure I will see more leads like this coming in as I continue to brand and market myself. This prospect is a decision maker and needs some results. He hasn't specified the exact needs, however I e-mailed him back to schedule something in September.
Continue marketing yourself and your business, you will receive qualified leads this way without having to spend much money -- all you'll invest is your time.

- Google SEO
- FourSquare
- Craigslist
- Cold Calling
