I have money but no time - how do I make money

Like the title says. Basically, I am working full time and cannot really make calls or check email during business hours. But I don't have many expenses since I am living with parents. Quitting the job isn't really an option. Maybe sometime in the near future.

Rather than invest in stocks and bonds and mutual funds, I would like to actively get involved in my own business. Don't really have much going on now except I am trying to start doing mobile sites, but that hasn't been very successful yet, I will continue that but am still looking at other ideas.

I have money that I can risk, but how do I go about making more, what type of services should I focus on? I know its a broad question, but I'm just looking for ideas.

There was a thread about what to do if you are desperate - my situation is that I am not desperate but am willing to work hard and understand the value of consistent action.

If you want to work with your own business, your'e always not gonna have enough time. Take things slow, and when your making enough money to quit, do it.

    Good Luck.

In order to answer your question, more information is needed.

A good starting point would be in what areas your abilities, skills and talents lie in. Can you build websites, do graphic design or write, for example.

If you really want to invest your money in some safe place, I would like to recommend you to invest your money in uinvest.com.ua. I have got this site's URL from one of the most successful and renowned blogger Jhon Chow's blog.

As you do not have much experience in online businesses, this will be the safer option for you.

I don't think starting an offline business is right for you if you can't make sacrifices.

If I were you, and looking to make extra money I would just set up some offers, and use paid traffic to promote those offers. You can have adwords running 24/7 and really not have to do much of anything else.

I guess that's an option too. Don't know too much about "setting up offers" or adwords, but am willing to learn. Any suggestions on how to go about this would be appreciated.

Thanks for the replies so far. I can build websites, and I am already in touch with people who do mobile sites and seo so I can hire them. I can make calls in my breaks. I can even do it while working, just not for too long.

Let me approach this from the idea of any business.

You can be an owner without being a manager. If you have enough money you can pay people to run your business completely. Or you could partner with someone who needs money. They will provide the labor and you provide the capital.

Think in terms of businesses where your money and knowledge can be used to make money using employees or partners.

Set up such offers which you have knowledge else hard to manage team/work or hire some professional in that particular segment. Offer can be any product you can act as merchant or you can be an affiliate (so no need to worry about stock etc), you can also offer ebook and sell, you can also sell services and can associate with other reliable companies (generate leads and sell them - keep your commission).
But first you need to make sure the resource who will work for you must be responsible and reliable else there will be lots of problem in long run.

Since you cannot use your own time, you must either set up passive offers or use someone else's time.

So you could use PPC and generate sales on niche offers.

Or you could pay a salesperson, web developer and project manager to sell and make websites for clients, and take a percentage of the profit.

Think: what can I do or set up so that I don't have to be involved except in an emergency, or for providing strategic direction?

What can I do for clients in which they can accept a delay in communication, that will give me time to think and respond? Do I need to do this at all?

IMO setting up a bunch of PPC niche marketing campaigns with the help of some expert IMers is the way to go. Once you set the thing up it runs itself, and you can make adjustments every so often either yourself or via paid "maintenance contract" with your PPC expert.

I would suggest becoming an affiliate of a high commission product and then use PPC ads to market it. This is probably your best bet because you can set this up all at your own time since you would be dealing with adwords instead with an actual client.

Go to Digital Products Retailer: Affiliate Program & Sell Online - ClickBank to find a high commission product.

Good responses so far. So one my options so far are to hire people to do the work, which is what I was thinking of initially. The other option is to do ppc for affiliate products. But I don't know much about ppc, does anyone have any resources that they can point me towards.

    Hello Stranger11,

I have been in your shoes before. 16 Months ago I was a full time college student, with 2 jobs, a full-time girlfriend, and tons of expenses.

I was able to quit college, my jobs, and leave my girl-friend, and i'm financially abundant. So i'm in a great position to give you a "one-up".

    Since our situations were similiar.

Here is what I would do If I were you:

    1) Get crystal clear about what you want.

    Questions to stimulate thought:

    a) How much do you want to make per month?
    b) By what time frame?
    c) What vehicle do you want to drive in to reach your financial result?

    Do you know your options?

If you're posting here, chances are you want to be a part of the internet germ.

If that is the case, I recommend one avenue.

    1) Select a Niche that you're naturally curious about.

If you can't think of one, try integrating curiousity into your personality in general.

    2) Saturate your brain with knowledge about that niche. Become crystal clear on it.

    3) You will then be equip to identify roadblocks other's reach when they are trying to get a certain result in that niche.

example; (making money, losing weight, reading faster, whatever)

    4) You will then want to offer something of extreme value for free, and build a targeted following. You want to build a relationship - super quality list.

    5) Once you do this, you can sell without selling to your list, over and over again.

In my opinion this is the best way to build a long-term stable, consistent online business.

But more importantly you can feel great about it.

Most people are after the money in regards to mastering IM. When you master the art of helping others achieve transformation results.

    Your wallet grows proportionately.

    Hope that helps mate.

    -Justin

Well the simplest way of making money without investing too much time is brokering or being the middle man

Go to Alibaba.com, find wholesalers to hot products; go to stores selling these products(99% they are getting it from someone local to sell - thus way more expensive) - broker a deal; and dropship it to them

simple as that.. use your brain and get some creativity going

The aim of marketing is to make selling superfluous. The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well that the product or service fits him and sells itself.....

That sounds like a great idea , but
out of curiosity, how do you do your due dilligence on Alibaba? It is rife with scammers.

What do you want to do? Do you want a fulltime offline business
down the road, or just some extra income?

The troubles you are likely having with selling mobile sites may
be a problem in selling anything. How are you trying to sell
        the sites now?

I'm kind of in the same situation, but close to the Liberation stage (for any of you that have read 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss). I work shift work, so I have days off to manage my online biz, but I also employ a personal assistant and other online providers from oDesk.com that handle most of the legwork for $2 to $6 per hour.

    Hope that helps

You will have to nail down a specific niche you want to get into. Do you want to offer Google ranking services? Printing services? Do you have people you can outsource this work to? Whichever route you go, hiring a telemarketer or partner to get leads for your service will be your best bet. Or on your free time, you can use automated tools for finding and contacting leads.

First of all, it is important that you should know what exactly you are interested in doing. If you think starting your own business will be a good way to earn money, then make a proper plan, use the right strategy and then think of investing money in the right business. However, I feel doing business would require a lot of investment of time. My advice would be to take things at a slow pace. At present continue with your work; think about starting your business at a little later stage.

I have the solution to your problem....

      Quit your job.
Put the fear of God Almighty into your self then you will have no choice to succeed.

Or if you have vacation time at your job, take as much as possible in 1 shot to work on what you want to do.

Just trying to get you thinking..... outside of the box.

Good piece of advice every other has given to you so far. It's really up to you.

What do you want to achieve with your life?

    What are your personal goals?

If i was in your shoes,(as i did before i quit my job to become a full time Internet Marketer), i would invest some money in a website that already would make some profit and had good potential to make more money.

Check out Flippa or other places where you could buy a website with good potential.

I did the same thing 2 years back and never regretted it.I invested 650$ for a site that was making 70-100$ per month. In 5 months time i had already made the 650$ i've spent(one month gave me 250$ in case you want to do the math).

Wish you the best of luck and success.
