Businesses that use DemandForce

Hi

I have a dentist appointment next week. My dentist has an automated system that confirms appointments, asks for feedback, etc.

I looked at their confirmation email more closely for this appointment and they are set up with DemandForce. DF provides a lot of online marketing services like web site, Google Places reviews, customer feedback, manage appointments and contacts, etc.

Demandforce

DemandForce is a multimillion dollar company that was bought by Intuit this year.

I searched the WF here and found very little information about DemandForce. One poster in an unrelated thread said he was a "partner" but it is not clear what that means. I went to the DemadForce website and it doesn't look like that have an affiliate or reseller program.

My question is, are companies signed up to DemandForce not worth approaching or selling to because they already have a complete solution?

Or are DemandForce clients good prospects who take online marketing seriously and would be open to products and services not provided by DF?

I'm asking because DF shows other DF clients in my area and I'm wondering if I should avoid those businesses or treat them as potential warm leads?

Demandforce does have an affiliate program. Your can find it under their partners page

    Demandforce | Partners

They also work with consulting firms it seems. I'm a reseller with Zenergy Works who is one of the companies listed as a consulting partner. However I have yet to use their white label program.

Linda Buquet who is a regular contributor to this forum also appears as one of their consulting partners.

You might want to pm her to seek more information.

Thanks Mojo, yes I'm a DF Partner. In my case does not mean I'm an affiliate or anything like that. I'm just a respected marketing consultant they add to their partner page and they also refer Dentists to me that are having Places problems and need consulting or troubleshooting.

I know a lot about DF, since I specialize in Dentistry, so let me see if I can answer some qs for you.

@onSubie you asked lots of Qs and my answer in general would be that it depends on what service you are trying to promote. DF is not a full featured marketing platform the way you made it sound.

Their CORE service is really just recall and re-activation - not online marketing. Google reviews are what they are known for by some, but that's just a free value-add service, not their core service at all. They do sometimes set up Place pages for their Dentists, but it's not their core strength and I've often had to have them release Place pages they did wrong in the past so I could fix problems.

"I'm asking because DF shows other DF clients in my area and I'm wondering if I should avoid those businesses or treat them as potential warm leads?"

Again depends on the service. If you do online marketing, then no reason to avoid Dentists that use DF. DF does not really do much in the way of online marketing for clients.

Companies always need help in some way. A lot of my clients use Quicken but still have an accountant. They might use DF but still need a website, or a mobile site, or help with email marketing, or whatever. I might not treat them as warm leads but I would treat them as your target market.

I know the owner of a car repair shop that's pretty successful (been around 30 years). They use Demand Force. Doesn't want to change and I don't want him as client... Not at all into cars.

Anyway, a few months ago, I checked how he was doing online... Not in the top 30 for anything. He's in a smallish town (45,000 people or so), so there can't be that many car repair shops, still, he was not showing in the top 7 and, if you click show more, he was not showing there either, unless you Googled his company name... A

I talked to him about it. Seems something happened with Demand Force... Used to show before that. Reviews disappeared too (he said he used to have hundreds showing up all over the place).

So, based on this guy, people who use them stick with them but they mess up. If you can find out companies for whom they messed up and offer a solution, maybe you have a chance.

It comes to the same old same old: show them that you will make them more money and reduce their headaches.

Thanks, I will check out their partner program.

I'll also look into more what DF does not do to see what services I can piggy-back.

@DABK: Thanks for the 'case study'. I am actually targeting the auto repair industry...

The auto guy I mention has a beautiful site that Google taught was all about warranties and insurance... He gives warranties on the work he does and accepts insurance, but his shop is about fixing cars and changing oils.

I told him it's probably the reason he's not ranking. Suggested he change words on his site.

He changed his whole site, a beautiful wordpress site. I ran his pages through Google keywords tool. Google still thinks his site is about warranties and insurance. However, whereas before, the most relevant keywords on the home page, according to Google, were all about warranties and insurance, now he only has 96 of them. The other 4 are about tires and rotating wheels.

My point, he needs (and seems unable to find someone) to help him with seo'd content. Demand Force is about marketing (facebook, email, and such), not about website creation, direct mail, and other...
