Looking for a template that drives phone calls for small businesses

I think we all know that at the end of the day, a struggling business owners main want is more customers.

I have an idea in my mind of a website that might drive more calls or e-mail optins, but I'd like to know if any of you guys know of a good template before I make one myself.

I'm thinking a big, prominent phone number above the fold with a good reason to call that number and a strong call to action. Similar for an e-mail opt-in.

Of course a website that drives leads takes #1 priority.. but if it looked nice, all the better.

Let me know if you know of a good template. Thanks.

This isn't a ready made theme or whatever, but I always refer to this graphic when designing client sites. It's built specifically for landing pages, but contains some ultra valuable tips on a number of page elements. I've found that 99% of wordpress themes will accommodate this design language with a little tweaking here and there, and I can personally attest to the effectiveness of that type of layout.

I have to respectfully disagree with you.
You have no idea what the business owner wants without talking to them first.
Not every business owner wants more customers.

I advise everyone reading this to NEVER make ab assumption about what the business owner wants. Always ask. "What are you looking to achieve?" What is important to you about xxxx?" "What would xxxx feel like?" What would you do if you achieved xxxx?"

Some business owners want more profit but not any more customers
Some want more customers but are happy with the amount of profit
Some want both, and some want neither.
ALWAYS ASK THEM WHAT THEY WANT!

It depends mostly of the niche. For example a limo company will likely get more email leads than a plumber. People who want a limo for their event will look for the cheapest rate and mostly will contact companies thru their email adress (or contact form). Instead, plumbers will receive a bigger percentage of calls than email because of the emergency of their service. You can do split-testing and see wich strategy will convert better.

    The examples given are great.

If you want to buy a theme, try the "Canvas" theme from Woothemes.com. You can customize those things in just about any way imaginable with a small amount of coding which lets you put anything you want anywhere you want on the theme.
