Any Offliner's Who Offer Web Design/SEO to Clients Willing To Share?

I am hoping an experienced offliner here might be feeling generous and would be willing to divulge their proceedure from taking a client paying a deposit, right through to site completion.

I am trying to streamline the process of lead generation > quote > follow up > deposit > design > complete website process as best I can, and would be really interested if anyone wanted to share the complete process they use to get work done.

The reason is, I am working quite 'hap-hazardly' right now, jumping between asking questions in email, to confirming with outsourcers, to looking at revisions, to doing more lead generation etc etc and it's all getting a bit out of hand.

I think this would be super useful for alot of people looking at this area, thanks!

The process I use is :

    1. Lead generation (Have some sort of information about their budget. It makes the quote stage much easier. Especially when using outsourcers. ) For the lead generation I use some sort of simple form . This has actually converted pretty well for me. Its one of my simpler forms

    2. Proposal. Instead of just having a simple quote of price, I have a full proposal listing everything I can do for them and how much it would cost them. I also list a itme period and set up their payment plan in the proposal. This would include first deposit then milestone and then monthly or some other payment schedule.
This does a few things; The first is that it weeds out people just "browsing" and focuses on the people ready to make a decision.

    3. Finding a good outsourcer is key. i suggest you stick with 1-3 for the duration of a few months. Make sure to have tested them thoroughly as the integrity of your business image depends on their work.

    4. Finalizing everything. Go back over your work. Make sure all payments were made and make sure the required job was completed successfully or is set up to be completed in the alloted amount of time.

    Hi

Since you are a War Room member, I would check out this piece of software, Green Samba, that tracks all that stuff. It is available as a WSO but the author has out it free in the War Room.
