A Mustang Sales Ad...

OFFLINE MARKETING

Hey,

This ad on Kjijiji has been passed around a bit lately.... it is PERFECT copywriting on a mustang sale...

2000 Ford Mustang GT Coupe -- Certified & E-Tested - Oshawa / Durham Region Cars For Sale - Kijiji Oshawa / Durham Region Canada.

I'm curious as to whether anyone on the copywriting forum has done this style of copy, and do you think the car would sell because of it.

I'm not a master copywriter, but I don't see why you think it is perfect copy? I think it is maybe average.

Aside from obvious reasons.... inside the copy he alienates the majority of potential buyers. Over 50% of online shoppers are women. Over 50% of mustang buyers are women.... saying it is a MAN's car... alienates the real market.

This ad is basically a joke of the "oversell" its gimmicky at best, but involves a serious investment for someone. So, fun to read and gets attention - but no not a master craft copy example. You want to see that - google "volkswagen ads"; everyone including Apple copied their style.

Difference in opinion. I think we can both agree it is not "PERFECT" copy though.

  I like critiquing sales copy! I think both ads are silly and meant to be that way.
  
  My ONLY question is how fast did the cars sell? If they sold in a couple days than I guess my opinion doesn't mean as much.

I said it was perfect copywriting for an ad selling a mustang... not that it was perfect copy in general...
