Advice to sell my site?

Hi Guys,

We have developed an E-store from Opencart Platform designed to sell perfumes online. This Ecommerce portal can also be customized to any other product selling if required. Initially, we tried selling in Flippa but unfortunately no leads were generated as visitors expect revenue on the E-store. As it is pristine new, we are confused on how to sell this e-store. We had spent almost a year to make all necessary changes and updates before going live. Currently, we decided it to sell on Sites that bid a commission rate for successful selling.

Kindly tell me the possible channels to sell this e-store. Also please share your experience on the same if any. The E-store is estimated for a cost of $8000.

    It's hard selling something like that since it can cost less than 8k to develop but give WebsiteBroker - Websites For Sale. Buy and sell websites and domain names! a try it might work for you better than flippa

    PS. i'm currently trying to sell a site on flippa and got just 3 bids so far

    Hi,

    My opinion is that you can find your local business whose selling perfume and offer rent your site to them. Of course you need to check whether they already had a website or not.

    Beside that also offer them SEO service and etc...

    MOve on to other niche since you have the master copy/ script maybe toys, furnitures and the possibility are endless.

    Have you seriously considered setting up the e-store and monetizing it before selling it? It may seem like too obvious a solution, but just a few months of revenue can be enough to attract buyers to your Flippa auction by showing the site actually *can* make money(as well as provide you with some quick cash).

    You want to sell a site that has no revenue, that is in one of the most competitive markets around for $8,000? Are there any other tangible assets you're throwing in the package? (IE. inventory, equipment, etc), or intangible (other than the site itself, since those are a dime a dozen) like rankings in certain SERPs or exclusive deals on certain brands or whatever? I hate to be the bearer of bad news but nobody is going to shell out that kind of cash for a site if it doesn't have the value.

    I have sold 1 ecommerce site before. It was doing $6,000 a month in revenue and $2,700 a month in profit, and I only sold it for $18,000. That's what the market handled, and unless you con someone, I just don't see it happening. I am sorry, I hope something works out for you.
