What? A re-brandable book for offline marketers???

Hi Warriors.

From the moment that I joined the Warrior Forum, I feel like I’ve been in school. I have learned so much, and I am so impressed with the wisdom and with the generosity of the people on this forum.

I have always been interested in marketing, and I am a writer at heart. A common theme on this forum is the importance of being a published author. I have bought WSOs, and followed many threads on this topic.

Two years ago I lost a substantial portion of my vision due to optic nerve damage. While the common term is legal blindness, I prefer to describe myself as partially sighted. Because of the Warrior Forum, I have continued to learn, and I have continued to have hope that despite this challenge there will always be a place for me at the table.

I recently co-authored, or should I say that ghosted, a book on chiropractic with a friend of mine. I am currently working on a book to establish my expertise as an offline marketer. One thing I’ve learned on this forum is that you don’t have to be an expert in anything, to provide quality services, and to help businesses.

There have been several threads on this forum about writing a book, or putting together a workbook, as a seminar tool or as an authority product. I’ve been putting this off for almost two years, viewing it as an overwhelming task, given my visual challenges and my limited experience in Internet Marketing.

The book is actually coming along quite well. I wear special glasses, and my computer has enhanced font. I’m a little slower, make that a lot slower, and my once sharp proof reading skills often fail me due to visual obstructions. But I am enjoying the writing process, and I thank G-d for the vision that I still have.

Even before my vision drama, I was a little intimidated about writing a book. After completing the first book, it’s not so daunting, but it is still an enormous amount of time and effort.

This morning I came up with an idea. I’d like to share it with you. Many of you know that you need a book, to open doors and to establish your authority as an offline marketer. Maybe you’re too busy or maybe you don’t enjoy writing. Or maybe you’re just overwhelmed at the commitment of time that’s involved. Even a re-written PLR book can take a huge commitment of time. Often when reading threads related to this subject, I would wish that someone would come up with a quality, re-brandable book for offline marketers. While the emphasis has been on simply being published, many of us are hesitant to put our names on something that isn’t quality. While the goal is not to be a New York Times bestseller, our book is supposed to be a reflection of our knowledge and of the quality of our services.

So here’s my idea. There’s so much expertise on this forum, yet no one on this forum or anywhere else knows everything about everything. But we do have knowledgeable Warriors who really shine when discussing and sharing what they know best.

I would like to harness that expertise and put it into a re-brandable offline marketing book. Here’s what I propose:

· 20 to 25 Warriors contributing a 1000+ word article directed to small business, each on a different topic.

· These contributors would have an additional paragraph or two, to write “commercials” for their services, including their website address and contact information.

· Each article would be its own chapter for which the contributor would be the recognized author.

· In addition, this book would need a good proofreader, an editor, and someone to format for both Kindle and CreateSpace.
For this, they too would be recognized with one or two paragraphs touting their services including their website address and contact information.

Now, here’s the re-brandable part. Each and every contributor would receive a file and have permission to publish this book with their own title, with their own “about the author” information, as the author of their own book.

In addition, I would like to make this available as a re-brandable book to non- contributing Warriors under slightly different terms. For a small fee, non- contributing Warriors may publish this book as first position co-authors with me. With no heavy lifting and just a small fee, this is the product that I was hoping to see on this forum.

I am interested to see what you, fellow Warriors think of this project. If there’s enough interest I will post or PM a list of chapter topics for which I need 1000+ word articles. Maybe you already have an article written that you can contribute. I am very excited about this and while it’s too late for me because I’m committed to completing my current book, I think this can be a great tool and a way to give back just a tiny bit compared to all that I have received from this forum.

One more thing. I don’t want this to become the main topic, but for those of you who are not interested in contributing an article or a service to the project, but are interested in a re-brandable offline marketing book, I would be interested in knowing what you would be willing to pay for such a book. I want to make it super affordable for Warriors to become authors.

Oh, okay,- maybe just ONE MORE thing! From the bottom of my heart, I thank all of you who have contributed to my marketing education. My husband has a doctorate in marketing and is a retired dean from a major university. He can’t believe the things I know about marketing,- things that he’s never heard of. Thanks for making me look so smart, and for inspiring me to continue to give value to others.

Blessings and Success!
