Frank Kern's Online Failure For His Gym, And What He Did To Turn It Around Offline

Frank and his wife opened up a gym and went straight to
marketing it on the internet.

Got his website #1 on Google and leads didn't turn to membership and sales.

So he turned to offline methods.

He lays out the whole process.

His ideal clients
where he find them
the ad design and layout
the offer
the call to actions
the number of leads
the ad image
what went on the cover of the envelope

You'll discover it all here...

Best,
Ewen

You want us to go sign up for something that "claims" a lady made 100k by working five hours? Ya, sounds legit....

It appears you are simply helping somebody build their list not add value here which is unfortunate.

Just appears as spammy if you ask me.

Now if you would have actually shared the information then that would of been beneficial but when you act as if you are going to then you send People to an outside link to sign up on somebody else's list, well with that right there you lose a lot of credibility.

Oh I see where you are coming from,
sorry I didn't mention that the post details are in the video
      above the sign up button.

Hope that clears it up for you and others.

No animals were harmed in making the video
or gratuitous sex depicted within it!

Got it. I'll give it a watch sometime perhaps.

Am I the only one that hates videos? I feel as I I am being sold to big time and I read much faster than it takes to get the point across in a video and I don't like to waste my time waiting for people to get to the point.

          Nope. I agree.

I wish there was an article about it lol I don't have time to watch a 2 hour video with a bunch of irrelevant info but I would be interested in hearing how he did it, even though I have no intention of doing anything similar anytime soon.

Nope, you're not. I've got skimming down to an art. Darn videos don't let me use my art.

And I really, truly and really again hate video's that remove the bit at the bottom that says how long the video is. I never start them.

Agree-I used to like when they had the video at least they had a transcript/sales pitch below it. And Real Player used to let me download all sorts of videos, even the ones with no timer at the bottom, until the squeeze page programmers got smart.

This video was informative (and had the timer on it), since it put together the sms/email marketing concept for me. Thanks Ewen for posting it. But I find myself looking for a $19.97 WSO, instead of $1997.00 for their stuff.

You should reconsider your train of thought.
I provide solutions everyday that a WSO couldn't come close to.
$2k products can have WAAAY more value than some crap re-hashed $20 from a theory pusher. The things I have learned for proper marketing come from higher priced products. I don't buy WSO's.

Considering that you are fairly new to the forum, I can see why you would have the knee jerk reaction to Ewen's post and will give you the benefit of the doubt.

Maybe do a search of the forum and find other posts that Ewen has made, then decide if your response was/is appropriate.

Ewen has offered nothing but solid gold advice and has added nothing but value here. Pay attention and you may learn something.

He basically used direct mail. Nothing really to see here. And claiming the internet didn't work is bullshit. I'm a former gym owner, and the internet brings in tons of business. I built a full fledged fitness bootcamp of folks paying 197/mo. using nothing but adwords.

I like Frank, and have a bunch of his material... but at a certain point it turns into the same old rehashed stuff.

There is no 'one way' for a local business such as a gym. The
savvy marketer uses ALL tools available.

There are limits with online dependency as well as offline
advertising. Social media is definitely one thing I would
incorporate for this type of business.

With all due respect, I own all of Kern's biggest products. This is a launch. Warrior Forum is one of his platforms.

The problem I have being a former gym owner is this:

Got his website #1 on Google and leads didn't turn to membership and sales.

It's totally bogus, and insulting. Kern needs to re-watch his Core Influence dvd. It's a pretty damn good dvd, and he'd probably learn a lot.

I don't know Ewen, other than through his posts - but have learned to respect and appreciate his posting as they mostly offer intelligent insights into marketing products and services - rather than the brute force "make 400 calls a day asking if they have a website" approach, which I have determined is not for me.

I invested 30 or so minutes listening to the video while doing email/having coffee - and - internet marketing for personal trainers effectiveness aside - Frank offers an interesting way of promoting local businesses via direct mail/text marketing.

His point of people being reluctant to call because they don't want a sales pitch - and how to overcome it - while not rocket science - is an idea I'm going to test in my CL ads.

Not that Ewen needs me defending him, but I just couldn't let it pass.

    Thanks for the share, Ewen.

Interesting to see the "syndicate" seems to be on the move again. Been a long time since I heard about any one of them doing anything, but in the past week Andy, Jeff and now Frank seem to be out their with new or new versions of old products - and I'm sure they'll each be cross promoting for each other soon.

I'm glad I got off most of those lists a long time ago, but will prob check this one out to see what he's up to.

    Thanks for the share Ewen!

I'm 10 minutes into the video and while Frank does a good job explaining this all and making it look - its nothing more than old (but valuable) Dan Kennedy and Jay Abraham advice.

I was thinking that. I have a Glazer Kennedy CD in my car with most of what frank just said on it. I assume they hope no one finds out you can get a dan Kennedy book for $10

I agree with Steve, it's DK basic practices, but always worth reviewing. Kern has been a big coaching/mentoring student of Kennedy for a long time, so this isn't surprising.
      Ewen, thanks for this!

these guys put a helleva amount of time and effort in their sales process

    this alone is the product.

study and watch how they deploy these launches.

create a folder on your hardrive and save each sequence or emails with time stamp. download all videos.

the sales process alone is whats worth anything

I have a large morgue of launches that I keep and emulate the sales process

    this is the real education

    not the actual courses

I have about 100 launches over the past few years..

from the STOMPERNET launch all the way thru to now

btw- the most interesting thing is the primary engine that fuels all these launches is good ole fashioned emails

if you get a chance also watch the marathons these guys do

I'm studying webinars now that send cold paid traffic to.

      The whole sequence.

They are repeats, but act as if you are live.

Many are getting more sign ups than VSL's.

Frank Kern is using them now.

      Best,

Frank is usually the smartest guy in the room. I have no doubt he started a gym. He probably did so solely for the purpose of creating his own case study. He uses the video to tell his story which is how he connects with people. He gives just enough to get people to opt in so they can be further sold. Then BOOM, product launch and half a million dollars in the bank a week. Maybe much more, I'm probably underestimating him. Frank and Mike have a system. It's pretty good and it works. People just need to reverse engineer it.
