Printing / Advertising costs A3

Hey Warriors,

I had an idea for WSO... but I want to try and figure out if it's economical...

I'm looking at 5000 x double-sided A3 sheet.

It will cost approx £300/$US500 to get printed in colour.

I was wondering how much you could sell the advertising for that reaches 5000 people?

    PS: I think you mean you got an idea from a WSO not you have an idea for one. Otherwise I will have a great idea for an A6,A5,A2,A1 and A0 to go with your A3 and Bob's A4

    That price seems really low to me. :confused:

    But since this is a biz model I work with on regular basis, I'll give you some general info, regardless of the price.

    Take the total cost of the printing, divided by the number of spaces for ads. Whatever that is, double it and then add some extra to the figure.

    So if it's $500, with 10 ads, each spot would be a minimum of $100, plus add some extra. (How much extra is up to you - and depends on what the market will bear.)

    The key is to make sure the ad space is a good investment for the advertiser.

    As long as the advertiser is getting more business than what the ad costs, then it should be a no-brainer for the biz owner. (But if it's a new venture, you may need to start lower for an ad fee until you have a track record.)

    PS - You should have a mock up done before approaching biz owners. It helps tremendously when they can see exactly what you're talking about.
