How Does One Advertise Flyers in Fast Food Joints

Can yopu explain what you are doing more? Aka what the flyer is for?

From what I can guess you are doing your flyers will end up in the trash the second a manager sees them.

It's going to be more difficult to get your flyers displayed in a corporate business where the person in charge of the establishment is just a lowly worker in the grand scheme of the corporation.

So you should be talking to smaller businesses, places where the real owner is more readily available. Then you can better offer some form of payment to display your material near their register or on display near the entrance, etc.

Most managers of fast food places will only let you place flyers on the counter or hang one up on the wall if it's realated to helping a charity or is part of a fundraiser for your local area.

I was just in a local Arbys the other day and they had a cardboard brochure stand with brochures for a local halloween attraction placed on the table where people get their napkins and condiments etc...

I've also seen discount coupons for amusement parks at other places by the register, so it's definitely possible, but I don't know any of the details behind how they got placed.

If I owned a restaurant I'd probably say yes to you if you asked nicely and it was to promote a local attraction or business, and if you offered free admission or a discount for me and my employees, I think you'd get a definite yes.

If you tell us what your flyers will be then we can better advise you on where and how to place them.

I sincerely do hope that your entire strategy isn't based on this.

Why not throw an ad up on craigslist and pay some hungry college kids $30 a piece to distribute your flyers for you instead?

I would hire 3-4 people for the local area to hand out flyers. x$ per set of 50-100. This would not be over bearing for the individuals, but it is enough if you make them, fill in placement information- business cards, simple form.......business name-telephone, address=

As many have said, it's unlikely you'll get a stand in a "corporate" fast food empire.

Unless it's for a "good cause" - a local charity.

The only times it may be possible for a "commercial" Flyer is if you get to know the manager or manageress.

Offer to make a contribution to the charity of their choice and they might let you have the stand for a week or so.

It helps if the Flyer is for a locally owned business which has some kind of a "connection" with the restaurant.

Another option is to get distributers to give the Flyers to customers coming in or out of the restaurant.

Even this becomes difficult if the restaurant "owns" the surrounding property.

Again if you offer to make a charity contribution - the management may let you.

P.S. i've had clients who were mad keen in getting Flyers into fast food restaurants - because of the volume of people and the hope that diners would read the Flyers while they were eating.

Having spoken to a few Managers - often they do want to help - particularly if there is a decent charitable pop. But they're biggest concern is their area manager coming in and going ballistic if they were to see a Flyer stand. Or seeing people giving them out in the restaurants surrounding premises.

Which means getting approval from the area managers is the best bet - but unfortunately it won't be easy.
