Marketing Program Management Pricing

Pseudo success story followed by a question.

While pitching a spot on my 9x12 mailer, the client started asking about my company's additional services. After explaining to the client that we handle social media management and marketing plan development etc. He asked if he could outsource his marketing program to my company. To date, we have handled all of the tasks that this project will require, however we have never done all of them at the same time for 1 client.

The company recently terminated their in-house marketing director. Currently the company is budgeting less than 1% of their $1.1M annual gross revenue.

How would you wizened warriors structure your pricing for a project of this nature? Any tips? Thanks in advance.

    VantagePro,

First, the bad... Taking over a full marketing program for any company "can" be overwhelming and tiresome for some...

The good... It can be a blast, to help see a company grow to bigger than before, KNOWING it was in large part to your marketing. You pretty much write your own price here.

I was put in a similar position earlier this year with a company about the same size as the one you are thinking of, the list of what I do for them is super simple, Social Media, some PPC but not enough to be to crazy, video marketing, local product placement, some SEO but not tons, SMS marketing, direct mail marketing, and appointment reminders.

They budgeted $150000 for the year and was stone solid in the price, absolutely no higher. I do it for $115000, best part of it all, I outsource most of it locally, (i am a firm believer in helping your fellow localites) and get it all done for about $25000 a year, making my profit about $90000 AND allowing me to do more of my own stuff.

They have a problem, and YOU are the solution, dont price yourself short, for a company budgeting less than 1% of 1.1 million you can make a very nice living if you are confident in what you do.

I truly hope it goes well and you land that deal.
