Call Tracking

What's your guys opinion on call tracking for SEO and PPC? I have a client that is looking to get some work done and he has 3 websites. 2 for one area, and they both have different numbers so he can track the effectiveness of his SEO. I know at one point Google didn't like this, and that it 'could' hurt citations. What are your thoughts?

  • We use different phone #s tied to different online advertisements, corporately. No problems so far.

    • Thanks Jason, I know that with Citations and ranking for Google + Local its important that all citations be exactly alike, hence my question.
  • Hmm I don't think they're worrying about Google+Local..they're doing PPC so it probably is apples and oranges. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

  • We make call tracking and call recording easy. Get tracking phone numbers, record phone calls, and get call tracking metrics. Local and toll-free numbers.

  • Hi
Before I say anything I just want to say I represent a call tracking company called calltracks.com
We have a number of SEO agencies on our books, and we offer a service where keywords, specific numbers and ads can be identified and linked to sales. Get in touch and we'll show you what we can do.
  • Call tracking is terrific for showing clients what is working. Almost no one does it so it is completely wide open. Twilio has disposable numbers for $1 per month, and you can set up the number to do a variety of things. Go to github and get the call tracking script and you'll have nice reports to show the client too.
