This scrub software...

A while ago I bought PageOne Keyword XP for like 7 bucks. When I bought it it advertised search volume. Now it says in the software (after months of not using it)

"The Number of Search Queries in this column are the number of searches reported by Google Suggests and DO NOT relate in any way to the Google Adwords Volume. Any traffic figures in this column should be verified with Google Adwords Tool."

What I gather from this is that these figures are what shows up when Google suggests a keyword in either it's instant search or when a mispelling. I've got terms showing a thousand volume, while that same search term has - in Google adword keyword tool.

What number am I looking at in this software? Can anybody help explain this to me, because the website of the software owner is for some reason in hiding on the net.

If I am misunderstanding it, or not utilizing it correctly, I'd appreciate the helpful insight, Thanks very much in advance.

Sounds like we can guess the reason why.

But anyway, what's so wrong with going with the google suggestion tool keywords? As I understand it, the adwords keywords are the words and phrases searched for that are being bid on, true, but the suggestion tool keywords are the popular searches people are entering anyway. So isn't there something to be said for that?

Interesting, the numbers just confuse me, because I'm not sure where they're coming from or how they're showing up or how to utilize the numbers.

Are you suggesting I just rank for the words and see if they get traffic?
