software for outsourcing calls! needed

Hi everyone!
My partners and I went through a couple of applicants for our telemarketing position today and I was asked what sort of software or app would they have to use to make the calls, we are looking to hire from the Philippines.

I am wondering if there is a software that will allow people from the philipines to make calls to Canadian numbers, also perhaps with the ability to forward a call to us (we will be closing the sales, the telemarketers will be qualifying the leads). We are a small start up business with limited funds so a Free solution is something we are looking for.

I know that Skype offers voip to land lines, but it costs $14 and the rate shows that it's about 86 minutes.

I would like to know if anyone has or is doing something similar and would like share some of their expertise & knowledge?

Thanks in advanced.

If someone can provide some information on this type of application it would be awesome. There are currently some open source solutions like the Asterisk PBX, but it seems to be extremely complicated to set up. Would there be any free solutions out there?

Take a look at freephoneline.ca. It may be what you are looking for.

If you need to set up something a bit more elaborate, try OpenVBX in combination with Twilio. You'll be paying a couple of cents a minute in this scenario.

In terms of selecting telemarketing software the primary considerations are your ROI and cost per minute and the connection fee.

I run my own call centre from home using OsDial, which has the ability to dial multiple lines predictively meaning more contacts per hour and a greater ROI.

The predictive algorithm used in these dialers really pays off well in the long run. Instead of dialing one phone line at a time you can dial up to 5 and the first call which gets answered gets sent to your agent.

The algorithm also calculates how long an average call will take before it dials the next number on your list.

Say for instance you have an average call time of 1:25 before the prospect ends the call. At around the 1:00 mark the software automatically dials the next number(s) in your list meaning the agent is constantly talking to people, eliminating the dead time spent handling answering machines, disconnected numbers, waiting for the call to connect etc.

Look up OsDial for in house systems or Callfire for cloud based alternatives.

Surely you don't mean you dial 5 people when only 1 agent is about to become available for a call? The other 4 calls would be dropped then? That'd be illegal over here. Predictive dialers are cool but their use is also regulated in many countries to prevent abuse.

Build your own system with Twilio. Their API is pretty darn easy to use. The calls won't be free, but I don't see how you're going to make international commercial calls for free by any legitimate means... someone's gotta pay to terminate them.

I use Skype and that works fine for me. But Twilio offers more features.
