Reoccuring Offline/Online Payments

For some background, when I see a program/software that I want to purchase and it has a monthly subscription for some reason I stray away from spending my money on it. This is unless the software is amazing, or some sort of monthly service.

I'm this way to the point that I'd rather spend $250 upfront rather than paying $10 a month, I'm not sure why, I think its because I always think to the long term.

What I'm wondering is whether or not typical businesses/people think like me. Do you think I am losing potential sales purely due to the fact that SEO is monthly work, as 'one-time blasts' aren't really the same thing as SEO.

I'm wondering if I just made it no contract, like not a monthly service, and just let people buy the 'monthly plan' whenever they wanted-- do you think that would increase my net profit.
