I already have a plan in place, but I wanted to know if you guys could help with any advice or tips. Its a free movie festival and they are asking me to do the social media for them. I have a facebook fan page set up and I'm networking with like minded organizations in the community to get more likes. I also started a group that is growing nicely. I really need tips on keep the group engaged until the movies start showing a month from now. This is really my first big deal that would lead into more projects with the partners of the organization in the future so I'm trying to blow it out the water and get a lot of traffic to this event. There will be free food and cultural movies showing. Ideas? Thanks again for all the help and assistance . This site has really help my business grow!

For engagement you could post trailers or teasers of the movies that will be played to the Facebook group.

For engagement & exposure you could run some giveaway contests that would require the user to share the event with friends in order to enter. Even if you're on a budget you could still giveaway signed movie posters, DVD's, VIP access to future events...

For engagement... do a QOTD (question of the day) make it something that is thought provoking and makes your people want to answer the question.

Well, the most strategy that can keep them engaged for a long time is trivia questions or just thought provoking questions that would make people answer and respond. Do it on a daily basis and see.
