Anyone have a good press release service they recommend?

I need to replace my old source, and was just curious before I head off into the world of Outsource sites like oDesk etc.

Preferably a source with journalism backgrounds that can write a PR that will be viewed as actually newsworthy in the eyes of the media (or the ability to give it a unique spin to help make it so)

Thanks!

I like Press Release Sites - Piece of Cake PR - Press Release Writing and Distribution. They're super in the know... at least in my experiences with them, and they will work with you to make sure you get whatever you need.

I use them precisely because of what you mention... they're great at spinning stuff, don't need hand holding, most of their writers have a journalistic background... or those that do not are supervised by those who do. If you're not happy, they'll work with you... and they have great press contacts... again from my experience but YMMV.

I looked at them, but also realized because of their "fame" the charge much higher fees than say an equally capable but smaller team of press release writers.

Companies like PRWeb have to up their prices to cover the sponsorships and corporate advertising they do on TV and magazines...a cost that trickles down to the consumer.

Hey Dexx - PRweb has a program for companies like ours that you get the cost of submission down to $40-$50 per submission. It's equal to the top submission program (the $400 one). You just have to pay upfront for the year. If you get into the program, they also submit you to other places outside of any of the one-off submission campaigns.

I just bought it and it's been working out nicely.

I'm not seeing it on the PRWeb.com site, is it hidden somewhere or just not advertised unless you call and ask about it?

Dexx, contact the PRWeb.com sales dept directly and they should be able to get you setup on "agency pricing".

          Best of luck.

Thanks, but I'm not too worried about the submission process, more so just looking for quality PR writers. (Submission services are a dime a dozen after one is written) :-)

Think the question that needed to be asked was :

Who do you know that can write a quality Press Release I can use on REAL PR distribution and syndication systems like PR Web? You need real press releases written to past the exacting standards of newsworthiness to get good syndication.

The writers will need to be very familiar with press release rules and protocols and be able to think up newsworthy content - on their own with little hand holding.

P.S. - PR Monkey wrote some of the best PR's Ive seen in a while - but their distro network is innundated with what I call PR Spam scraper sites - so your PRs end up scraped and syndicated on a ton of raggitty SPAm infested dung heaps - as well as some good NEWS sites.

Thanks for the compliment on our writing. It's a heavy focus of ours and a great PR makes all the difference.

Regarding our distribution network that you said is inundated with "PR Spam scraper sites". This is actually what you will get when ever you use newswires that have good distribution.

As the people that are setting up their scrapers only use the good quality newswires to do so.

PRWeb adds great syndication as one partner in our distribution network for PRM. But it is also the cause of more spam sites than any other newswire we use.

You have to take the good with the bad. And in this case the bad can pretty much be ignored. I am yet to have any website that has only been marketed via our press release service as well as the usual social media promotion run into any Google penalties.

I also use PR Monkey (http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors...des-prweb.html) and their writers are top notch. Not sure if they offer writing only, but I would ask them for sure.

As far as the "PR Spam scraper sites", I have noticed those on all distribution places I have tried, as the scrapers pull their material from the big news sites anyways.

Also used PR monkey, they did a fantastic job writing the release and it's now in the middle of syndication. I'm happy with them.

As far as writing.... I currently write my own.
Even when I outsourced, there was always editing to do.

    Distribution....
I do it for local companies. So, I contact the newspaper.
    They publish the story.
Then the other medias like radio, and tv news channels, picks it up.

    Sorry if that doesn't help.
