What are some good strategies for getting clients locally? I'm a lifestyle/dating coach.

    Run some Facebook PPC (pay per click) ads and you can geographically target your area. I hope this helps

    I'd run a free workshop. Rent out a location locally (Hotel, etc...) and tell them free workshop to get 10 dates before the weekend (or whatever our offer is).

    Then give your pitch via the workshop and then sell them on a package at the end, where you go "wing" with them, or whatever your services are.

    Use Facebook and LinkedIn PPC for this. Also, do banner targeting on all those stupid sites like TMZ and just target your local area, so only locals see your banner. Make sure to turn on retargeting.

      One thing does not have to do with the next. Understanding the psychology of women and knowing marketing are two different animals. Yet there are similarities. Here is where you should learn to do what your good at and find people to do the things you are not in business.

      The guy teaches a course. That does not mean he needs to be a master of marketing.

    Depends on your budget and what involvement you want in your first contacts.

    Low budget... You will have to get out where your ideal clients might be. Social Gatherings, nightclubs, grocery stores etc... Leave good flyers, business cards with clear offer and CTA to your "freemium".

    Otherwise a more passive but further reaching process might include advertising to a landing page with clear offer, CTA and name capture (autoresponder) so that you can sign them up for whatever you are offering.

    I think you need to spend more targeting what your clients are like and there interests. Are the interests the same across the board? Then get your services visible in areas where people with those interests congregate.

    I like the workshop idea.... with a twist.
    Run the workshop, then follow it with speed dating.

    So, someone attends your workshop on how to pick up women.
    Then you have speed dating afterwards.
    This way they can test some of your strategies.
    If they work, they will pay.
    If they don't, consider a different career.

      I disagree with this. I dont forsee someone who has a problem meeting woman suddenly manning up and meeting multiple woman in a short time frame.

        There are always groups that meet specifically to meet people. Find the local ones. Create a speech to give them tips and at the end, let them ask you about your coaching service. POF (Plentyoffish.com) will sell you ads, and the traffic is your niche.


        Or, you could actually go online and type in "Local online dating sites" and advertise on them, or at least see how they market.

        I don't mean to be rude, but shouldn't you already know how to get local clients if you're already a coach? So you're asking advice from all of us who are not coaches in the dating business?

        Anyway, there are books and CDs on this. Just go online and buy them.

        Its kind of like riding a bike. Once you KNOW, that confidence is a magnet. Confidence is what attracts a woman to a man. Period. Experiencing builds confidence. This can all happen very quickly.

        Just like the first time you actually learned to ride a bike.

        The number one thing dating coaches preach is to get over the "bitch butterflies"...

        Many men are surprised how many women actually respond to their newly found confidence. It's just a matter of actually getting out there and talking to women.

        You are thinking just like "most men" do...

        You're right. Those are some Hollywood strategies. I'm from Bulgaria (Europe) and here speed dating is not mainstream at all. A person who can't find a partner preferes to stay hidden and this is the problem to solve first.

          Find seminars geared towards your target audience, offer to help them with their costs if they let you set up a booth in the back and introduce you to their audience and let you introduce yourself too .

          This method found me when I had a real estate appraisal company. A company teaching mortgage people how to get clients asked me to sponsor one of their day-long (free to the loan people) events. I shelled $1,200, got close to $40k in revenue over the next 2 years (and I was utterly unprepared).

          Alternatively, look for groups that need add excitement to their meetings and think having outside speakers will do the trick.

      Having a workshop is a great idea. Road trips to force them to talk to women is not.

      Have you ever met any of these guys? (I used to be one and hang out with them. I know what I'm talking about here)
      They think they want to meet women. But they don't. They want to talk about meeting women. Theorize about the best way to meet a woman, watch videos of other guys meeting women.

      But to actually walk up to a woman and say "Hello"? They could do that now. There, now everyone knows the secret.

      I have a lady client that owns a dance studio. She wants me to attract men to the dance studio...because most of her students are women looking for men. She keeps wanting to talk about how exciting dancing is...about the health benefits and the cultural history of dancing.

      I told her. "Here's the truth. Men don't want to learn to dance. None of them. And you'll never convince men that dancing is worth it.
      BUT...if you want to have men swarm around your dance studio...begging to sign up, run an ad in any local sports section of a newspaper, talking about the "Secret Source Of Attractive, Athletic Women Waiting, With Open Arms, For That First Man To Walk Through The Door".
      Here is where attractive available women hang out. And you can dance with them the first time you meet them!"

      Nope. She went back to arguing that we need to reduce the price of the lessons. Yup, that's the ticket.

    I have people approach me in the gym all the time asking me to train them and wanting to be my friend since a lot of women are always hanging around me.

    I would suggest doing a night our where you take some guys out with you or meetup somewhere and do your thing. When they see how natural you are with women, they will pay for the course. Getting laid often worth much money........

    Start networking with other coaches in your area that aren't necessarily in the same niche as you. You never know what kind of need their clients have.

    Also, look into BNI or other networking groups that have weekly meetings. I personally know some people who have built entire businesses from networking meetings.

    I did the dating niche thing for about 4 years straight. Before I ever got into marketing.

    90% of my clients were found on forums. I believe this is similar to how David D got started. Forums are huge for finding dating clients. Find all the seduction forums out there. Many of them have "local lair" sub forums. Start posting in those forums.

    After that, I set up a private group in yahoo groups. We uploaded a bunch of video content, shared our weekend stories, and users would share more personal details amongst the group.

    We basically moved people from the seduction forums >> to the group >> then scheduled workshops from the group.

    Its a fool proof way to get clients, trust me. However. You will NOT gain a following of any kind unless you are willing to take men out into the field, and open sets one after another. This was something I did 4 nights a week, between 7pm-11pm. We would typically record ourselves in action, then upload the videos to our private group on yahoo. I'd take guys out, and show them my own unique style. Then you just run worshops/bootcamps on the weekend and charge for them.

    But do not plan on making any money, unless you are somewhat advanced. You have to know how to close (which isn't hard if your consistently active OFFLINE).
