Does anyone know's how much YP charge for their plumber/painter/roofing websites ?

I have seen some websites owners with this type of websites i will like to offer them a better website because yp pages are like 90's style. But i don't want to talk to them without knowing those type of sites prices from yp.

Thank you in advanced

100$ to 300$ a month for a website that a 5 year old can design! Remember most are locked in a contract so they won't deal with you until then, so have a good follow up system.

It all depends on how much they are spending as a whole.
Do the have a print ad, online ad, website, video, coupon, etc?
Or just a paid listing and a website?

    Price varies greatly.

Heck of a good site to get rebuttals to the YP sales pitches in one place ... thanks for sharing it!

Several businesses I called and asked think they are getting their little YP website for free, because it's included in their package for the phone book ads they buy.

I'm not sure if it was YP, but one of the major yellow page companies was recently offering $50 per month sites.

They certainly looked like 1990's sites too. At best these are simply a static brochure and don't do well for competitive search terms in organic search engine rankings.

Some buyers of these YP websites get a good or decent value as they are getting these site as an affordable monthly subscription.

  • My understanding is that you don't own the rights to your site either so if you cancel your advertising, they kill your website too. So what value there IS in a YP site (which i think there is VERY little), you'll be left with nothing if you stop you ad package. Lock-in much?
