  • You could also ramp this idea up and use - flyers and postcard mailers.

    • I have been using drop cards for years...

The ones that look like real money work great:

Heart-Racing Results! Dollar Bill Business Cards and Drop Cards for marketing & promotion - YouTube
But my double sided full color business cards that promote
my weight loss site work far better than the drop cards do
when used as Dale Calvert advises in the below video.

Plus my site promotes a real physical weight loss product that
people will sign up for on a monthly autoship plan so the recurring
monthly profits are far better than any click bank digital product.

I think the reason why handing the cards out as opposed to just
dropping them works so much better is because of the 3 second
negative statement you make when handing a card out... then you
walk away. This creates a lot of curiosity that compels them to go
      check your site out.

  • Does anyone else just get a spinner when trying to view the card?

    • Just open the image in a new tab and it will work no problem. In Foxfire on Windows- Right Click over image, select Open Link in New Tab.

  • I don't know in other countries but this is pretty much saturated in Malaysia. People are biz card blinded now here from my experience. I've noticed in several occasions people taking the biz cards and throw em in the nearest bins.

Now it only relates to the "Making money" and "lose weight" niche. I don't know for others.
  • This sounds something similar to handing out CPA offers via flyers in a public stadium and area.

It never really striked me as something that worked, but then again maybe I'm a bit of a Doubting Thomas.
  • this seems a bit gimmeky, will it only work for certain products and services?
    • [1] reply
    • In offline marketing gimmeky is good as it gets peoples attention.

Drop cards work best with affiliate products and CPA offers.

      All the best,

      Martin

  • Sometimes the simplest ideas are the most effective...
  • Wow, thats pretty good idea, I need to give it a try!
  • The smart thing to do here is hook up your offer with a steady distribution channel related to your offer.

Dating niche? Give a florist commission, and have your card go out with every order.

Dollar store. Thrift shop. Card goes out at the bottom of every bag. Anything especially where you can find an independent owner/operator you can talk to. They'll be interested in making extra money for no effort, and no corporate red tape.

'Course...you gotta go talk to them, and that's going to scare a lot of people off.

    • Hi Jason,

Thanks for sharing your ideas and thought, I am in the work of setting up the bag idea with a new money making idea I'm working on, so I will post here once I get all the details worked out and make money with it.

      All the best,

      Martin

  • I never thought of drop cards for anything other than MLM but this is brilliant, with the right weight loss offer.
  • What happened to Martin that got him banned?
  • Yea, what's the deal on the ban?

Martin has always posted pretty good stuff over the years. He has shared simple money making ideas that I'm sure have helped a bunch of people make some money.

  • bad question, what is drop card?

I just heard, is it like brochure/pamphlet?
    • [1] reply
    • A drop card is simply a full color business card that promotes an affiliate
product or CPA offer on each side and you drop them on the ground, or place them in high traffic areas where people will see it and pick it up and
keep it and hopefully order or sign up for the offer you are promoting on your drop card.

      All the best,

      Martin

  • edit: sorry ignore me, just re-read it and realized you offer up the answers

    • If you've got a good offer, Fiverr has plenty of gigs for handing out flyers (just ad some sort of tracking code, or ask them to take pix for reliability issues), and of course if you're a do-it-yourselfer, you can check out your local college. Usually there are plenty of tech students, so handing out cards between classes near the computer labs, and this will usually work well for IM sorts of offers. You can probably find a good department for handing out all sorts of niche offers. If you're shy and don't like chatting it up, bulletin boards are everywhere on campus!
