You can easily find such agreement templates by searching Google.

But, I usually just rely on PayPal's subscription feature. If they fail to pay, I fail to deliver.
PayPal will issue an invoice automatically, and that will take a task of your "to do" list.

so should i create a website for my self and add a subscription button onto it. i was thinking of using paypal and just email invoices to customers every month for the time being to keep the cost down.

    whats your thoughts

I definitely think you should have your own website. As for invoicing I think Paypal would be your best for recurring subscriptions, it will automatically take the money at the same day each month. Also, you could look into something like freshbooks for invoicing.

PayPal charges for all payments, starting at 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. There's no extra fee for using subscriptions.

Why bother with that? Just set up PayPal subscription, and let PayPal take care of that.. They can cancel anytime, so you really don't need any agreement

Starting a business is a challenge! But, it is a business and any time you take money - unless it's cash! - you'll be charged fees. While Paypal charges merchant fees for taking the money and distributing it back to you, they don't charge anything extra for doing it every month like clock work. It's really simple to set up a payment button that you can email to your new clients. Once they set up their credit card or paypal account payment to your link it is recurring until they cancel it. You can also do that through 2CheckOut and the client can use their credit card.

Is it possible to setup subscription with just a personal account, or must I have to pay for a business account? I hear conflicting views re this.

i was wrong i thought their was a monthly subscription charge by paypal for upgrading to a business account, but their is not they just take a small % from the payment 2.9% i think is what i read.

It does not cost any money to open or use a business account. You only pay a transaction fee on payments received.

Thanks ... so the fee is greater than for personal, is that correct?

There are no fees for personal accounts, but personal accounts cannot receive payments funded by credit card, only PayPal balance payments from other PayPal accounts. You basically can't use it to do business.

You are in fact a business and need to upgrade. You need a premiere or business account to accept credit card payments, subscription or otherwise.

When you create a payment button with PayPal, you are presented with a link to copy and paste into e-mail, and instructions for how to use the copy and paste functions of your computer.

Remember, a lot of local mom and pop businesses are not even using the internet. So have a smart phone ready to plug in their paypal info. I can't recall but I don't think you need to create an account for them.

You don't even need to plug in any info. Just swipe their card through PayPal's free card reader for your smart phone.

Just a happy business customer of over 12 years. I've implemented every API they offer myself, so I know their product pretty well. Oh, and the card reader has been on the site's business homepage for weeks.
