Yard signs to get commission sales people?

I'm planning on trying this weekend....I have some signs order and I noticed during the election the places they put their signs so I'm going to put them in the same places. My thinking is with the holidays coming around and people needing more money and everyone knowing someone that needs something done online professionally I could make a little boost in sales before the end of the year (sorry for the run on). Have any of you tried this before or have any tips to add?

    Sounds like your loading a shotgun and firing at random to hopefully hit something and bring home some extra dollars, it might work out OK for you but don't bank on to much / for a bit of fun why not I suppose.

    This is brilliant for name awareness, but it's gonna be hard work for lead generation. You'll find the big boys doing this sort of thing because they can afford to mass advertise. However, as small business owner I'm not to sure what ROI you'll get with this.

    Like Pete says. Give it a go and see what results you get.
