How to help shopping malls

Most shopping malls are struggling.
What I love to do is find a problem and brainstorm on how I (we) can help.
Brainstorming alone ain't much fun...

Any ideas?

Buyers need to be aware of the events, deals, etc.
First thing that comes to mind is a mobile app.

a mobile app directory to find stores easily once at the mall. I think it was google places that was adding capability for this inside buildings. Otherwise the mall would need an RF location system probably.

    NFC/bluetooth ads/discounts.

Promoting all kinds of public events at malls to generate traffic.

Start a park n ride service at mall parking lots to generate traffic and make it look busy.

Have free movie nights in the mall, they go largely unused after 7-8pm.

have a strip club in the mall

Do a fundraiser with a high-profile charity. Lots of ways to get that going. e.g. The mall management will donate $1 for every visitor over a given time.

Get 20 or 30 Mall Vendors to agree to place a "Magnet" on the back of their cash registers.

The Magnet has a QR CODE and says; "SCAN HERE FOR THE DEAL OF THE DAY!"

The vendors pay you a monthly fee to set up the "Deal of the Day" website and change the Deal...Daily!

Also place larger Magnets throughout the Mall....especially on the Kiosks.

What would you charge for a service like that? and are you needing to make a site like groupon so the customer can buy the deal before check out? and then do you also take a cut of their sales?

Here's one way to help out a mall. Open a Kiosk for the Holiday season. I can guarantee they'll be happy about that. They'll make money on you for a couple months and, with the right product, you'll make a TON of money from it as well. That way they make a little money and you make a little (hopefully a lot) money.

I say this from experience since my company has 2 mall kiosks right now rrrrranking in the cash on the Holiday shoppers.

    Hope that helps!

What do you think about online shopping malls? I know you can't try stuff on but I think the idea is really cool and you can find big savings and have it shipped to your door!
