Very insightful method, sometimes things really are THAT simple.. People tend to over-complicate things, myself included... I am going to try this, it may take me 5 emails, it may take 200, but I will keep going until I get a sale

Btw, did you send the plumbers a side by side comparison display of their current site with your duda mockup or did you simply send them to a single page featuring their duda mockup?

I included unlimited changes until he approves the final mobile site.

I simply sent him an email with the duda mockup, but I did mention in the email that his website is not mobile phone ready,etc

  What does it matter if the sites all look the same? They are only mockups and each business is not going to know about the other businesses you have contacted. Sure, you are best to change the logo and a few colors to match the business you are targeting but you don't want to waste too much time with the mockups. Considering 9 out of 10 businesses were not sold you don't want to spend too much time on the individual designs.

Hey now, that's a great ROI and if you don't get a few more sold following up by phone, wait a week and send a direct mail piece showing their current site next to one of the new sites you just did for their competitors. At $1000 a pop, that could be a nice 5k Christmas bonus for you for just a few hours work!

Congrats to the sale. Interestingly, I am going to do the same tomorrow. I hired a telemarketer and will get him to make calls to all the restaurants in town to set an appointments for me.

Will deliver the mockup when meeting them in person. I think that is easier to close than having to send the mock up over and waiting for reply.

Anyhow, wish me luck! Oh, and I am using dudamobile too.

Congratulations on your sale. $1000 is a really good figure. 1/10 is also a nice closing rate. But, I think you could have asked for more than $10 as the monthly payment since they agreed on $1000 for the initial payment.

Wow Congrats man, keep at it, it sounds like you have a targeted thing going. I like the fact that you took it by industry.
Was plumbers just something you decided or was it because you felt they might be more inclined to get a mobile site?
