The reason why there's conflicting reports, is because Craigslist has fulltime employees monitoring their site manually.

If you get flagged, they might look.

If your post looks shady, they might look.

If your post gets flagged for automation (or what they perceive to be as automation) they might look.

Basically, you don't want one of their employees looking at your posts, because then you risk getting your posts removed.

I'd say, if you're posting frequently, you should get different accounts with different IP addresses.

That is, if you're really in it to win it.

You could get a private proxy for each account.

I can tell you that if you already read something I said regarding the subject it doesn't matter who else disagrees or gives conflicting advice because I'm right, and they're wrong.
