Small Business Saturday

Who is out prospecting today?

Seems like a good day to catch the owners in store and talk to them about the changing landscape of business and how you can help.

Saturday is a great day to catch owners at their shop without the gatekeepers.

Add to that the end of the year is upon us. Many view the beginning of
the year as a 'fresh start'. I'd start utilizing that and exploiting that mentality.

Yes! I would guess the week after Christmas would be the ideal time to talk to small businesses. They are (depending on the business) a little flush with money after the Christmas selling, and the "New Years Resolution" appeal is strong with many.

You just gave me an idea. Back to work for me.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

I have resisted the temptation to get out there today... But I am thinking that it might be a *great* day to hit targeted locations - to see how busy they really are today!

That's very useful intel for the future...

I will be out talking to local businesses on Tuesday for sure, probably a toe or two in the water on Monday as well.

Time to start planting those seeds about 'What would you like your growth numbers to be in February and March???'

And, with Southern Arizona being so seasonal, it makes sense to jump in now to start the conversations that will be conversions in early December or January.

Hey - I just want a little piece of your budget so that I can give you the customers you require to give me your WHOLE budget next year...

          To YOUR Success!

Aaron; You're right about catching owners in on Saturday. But its also the busiest day for many retail stores, like mine. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are the best times to catch me not selling.

But the couple of weeks before Christmas? I'm pretty darn busy.

But to catch me here to make a later appointment? Saturday is the best time.

      Aaron,
though Saturday is always a great day to catch business owners, This is the WORST DAY of the Year to talk to them. Most stores are slammed with customers and most will considerate Disrespectful...

In fact i think it could hurt badly as most will think.. Hey don't these people understand how busy of a day it is.. If they don't then there is no way they understand my business or what I am doing...

      Just a thought...

Is this a holiday or just a reason to do business? What is this about?

I'm still fairly new to offline marketing. You guys are saying that Saturday is more common than any other day to find the business owner in their business? Since I've started my journey I walked into about 5-6 places looking to speak with the business owner. None of them were there. lol I decided to stick with cold calling. Those were during the week tho.

In my opinion and experience this time of year mixed with Saturday can
increase chances of finding a business owner. That said, it is also a chaotic
time so unless we are selling something that alleviates their situation, they
will likely be more resistant to listening.
