A Quick And Dirty Message To Post

" Hi this is Mrs Hampton, I'm writing because there may be a critical gap
in your x. Can you give me a call urgently?"

This works for 3 reasons...

1 Curiosity
2 Fear
3 Mrs gives more authority

Come up with your own "x" and test it as a lead generator.
Make it something they value highly.

It has worked very well for phone broadcasts to a cold list for insurance.

Best,
Ewen

P.S. Change the name as a way to track list and message changes.
Ask who they were after and they will tell you Mrs so and so.

Love the curiosity angle, I remember a friend of mine used to do the same, and then hang up half way thru, and if they called him back, he closed 1 in 3 of them.

But you definitely got me wondering how that could be adapted for use on IMs, PMs etc on social networks? Could it work sucessfully, would be epic if we could get it to work online.

Could be an interesting test, and some real gold to be mined with the right tweeks especially if the "suspect" is foudn via an advanced search with specific criteria...

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Fraser, I'm thinking getting it in the mail will seem more "official"
and would get acted on more.

The key is what they would fear losing the most.

An example could be for a service firm that only has one off buys,
therefore their biggest risk is a stoppage to their lead flow

So saying "critical interruption coming up in lead flow",
      would be provocative.

      Best,
      Ewen

I remember a photocopy sales man would leave a message for the office manager telling them that "Nasty Nick" would be calling in 2 weeks, and to get in touch.

that certainly raised curiousity and got people phoning to enquire who "nasty nick" was.
