Do you get a gift for your existing clients?

    I was thinking about this a lot too. I was considering a gift basket, or possibly hand delivering a gift card for a restaurant.

    I am really looking forward to hearing what others are planning on doing.

    I bought all of my local ones squishy stress balls with my logo on, got 1000 of the things.

    Delivered about a hundred to the guys in the office next door and we had a massive stress ball fight in the street.

    It was a bitch to clear up afterwards but we're planning a rematch at our joint Christmas party.

        I get my wife to put together a gift basket she loves that stuff, with like a mug with our logo on it, an Xmas card and some good chocolate.

    I think logo materials are great. If you have a smaller amount of clients and can afford it there are many things that were HUGE hits in our offices over the years (most of them either sent one for each person in the office, or a big enough selection that we divided it up).

    Honeybaked Ham certificates
    Chocolates
    Fruit baskets
    Cheese/sausage baskets
    Muffin baskets
    Candy baskets

    Things that were NOT a hit in the office:
    Pictures of YOU and your staff
    Coupons for discounts for your services or surrounding businesses
    Fruit cakes (yes, people still give those)

      We surveyed our clients and then made a donation to the top charity of their choice in lieu of gifts.

      The survey helped get them involved and gave them more "ownership".

    One thing that costs less than imprinted logos, if you are dealing with something printed as a gift is that you can get a nice stamp, label to stick on or a cute bookmark to insert.

    I've gotten a nice response from the 24 page stress booklets.

    Over the years I have given gift baskets and restaurant gift cards for Christmas. I've had really good feedback from both. Several years ago I gave a very good client a watch. He is still a client of mine.

    For years, I have had a glass candy jar imprinted with my logo. I would fill them with Sunkist Fruit Gems (highly addictive candy). These are very popular. The jar is the kind of high quality item that stays in view year round (usually on the receptionists desk or the break room) so my name is constantly being reinforced.

    My company logo incorporates a shark. This year, we found individually wrapped gummy sharks that were an almost perfect match to my mascot (dumb luck!) so we used those instead.

    The cost of the jar, printing, candy, shipping materials and shipping are about $15.

    It never fails to get great feedback. I also send these out to my best prospects for the coming year, to warm up the sales pipeline.

      I'm going to be the maveric in this thread.

      Howabout no gifts to clients and just double up
      on your effort to set client expectation agreements,
      come up with a penalty if you don't deliver?

      Do that and you'll be the one getting Christmas presents!

      That's my experience from a previous business I owned.

    I'm sending my clients.. a greeting card and a gift card to a local restaurant and some homemade jam. Christmas gifts have always brought me return clients for the next year.

    I customized a holiday card in Photoshop and I'm sending that out via email.

    After sales, though, I hand-deliver thank you cards.

      Chocolate covered pretzels are a big hit. Hand delivered. Gives me an opportunity to stop in and just work on the relationship. I've also had cube pads made with my logo and contact info. I like the idea of keeping my name in front of the client.

      A friend of mine gives clients a gift card to a local convenience store (a very popular place around here for coffee), along with a couple of scratch off lottery tickets. This might be supplemented by a chocolate bar and logo note pad, depending on the client. These go by mail. I'm also a client, and I like getting this package.

    Today was garbage day and he left behind a christmas card on the bin that was signed "your garbage man Tom"

    While I thought it was a little silly and joked that our rates must be getting ready to go up, my wife seriously appreciated it and said it was very thoughtful and unexpected.

    Needless to say, I said what is going on while I am away at work.. lol.

    We can actually give something less expensive but helpful to them.

    For sure they'll feel happy with anything that we can give.

    It's Christmas soon and its worth sharing your blessings (haha).

    Simple presents would mean a lot sometimes if done with thoughtfulness.

    Hi there,

    I think sending gifts to clients is an excellent idea! I always use a company called Aston and James to help me with my corporate Christmas gifts!

    They have loads to choose from - my favourite is the Christmas inspired logo bugs - its a fun way to get the name of your brand out there!

    I send out a special email with a little something special for their birthday(the day they signed up) and of course I never make anything out saying a specific holiday like Christmas in this day and age but I do a seasonal card with something special.
    I use aweber to set them up in advance when they first sign up and add a gift here a their later on.
