Square Payments With Phone

Hi!

I would like to find out more about how square works?

I understand that if i process payments through it, i will need a credit card reader and a credit card to be charged.

However there is one thing i do not understand since i do not own a credit card,

If the customer has a limit of $X daily on their credit card, and i have $X+1000 that i want to put through the credit card, does that mean that i will have to ask them to call the bank to raise the limit on their card for the transaction to go through? Also, what is the average credit card limit for a single large transaction? $1000? $3000? $5000?

Hoping someone can enlighten me on this:-)

Thanks!

Credit cards don't usually have daily limits unless you request them. Some will flag unusual purchases and lock the card until the customer calls but generally you can charge whatever is available on the card.

Square has no limits as far as processing, they'll take a $100,000 swipe if it's real.
