Google+, how to add pictures?

Do you handle your clients Google+ account and if you do, how do you add pictures to their account? I've googled around and adding pictures to your own account is not a problem but as far as adding them to your client's account, can't find any information.

Would you need to have their Google email account information to be able to access it or how exactly do you go about it? Once the pictures are added, how fast do you see an increase in ranking?

Thanks in advance,

Eva

Are we talking their Google+ Local account (Google Places) or their Google+ business page?

    Thanks

Their Google+ business page. Then on the other hand, it is my understanding that they first need to claim their Google Places listing before they can have a Google+ page or am I way off here?

Years ago, I had Google Places pat down, today, totally lost...

Any google plus account can add photos to a plus local page, just click the "add photo" button on the photos tab. Obviously it will have more authority if you add them using your client's login.

If you have been added as a manager then as Chad mentioned just click on the photo and upload in the same way you would do this in facebook.

    • I tell you we don't like holding the account. We prefer to have the account owner add us as a "manager" to the account. Less possibility of being the scapegoat should something go south on you.

But yes, you can add images once you are either logged into their account or your manager account.

We actually cover all that in our WSO we just launched.

Was hoping someone was going to reply as far as how rankings improve once pictures are added. If you have any experience in this, please kindly reply.

        Thanks, Eva

If it's a Google+ page then you need to ask the owner of the page to add you as the manager to add photos. However, if it is a Google+ personal profile then you really need to have their log-in details so you can add pictures to their account.

  • Actually, posting images from an outside G+ personal account helps with rankings since it shows customer engagement on the listing. Of course, you can't upload business pics, it would make more sense to upload photos that are genuinely from your customers.

I create fake profiles using local IPs to simulate this sort of activity. I don't post reviews, but I do engage with the business in other ways.

Obviously this doesn't replace having the local listing owner upload photos in the dashboard. It should compliment it.

Philboy, the ability to add photos via URL in the Google Places dashboard has been gone for a while. Uploading directly and putting a link to a Picasa web album that is geotagged works just as well.
