Do you think it is possible to get companies to let me conduct staff seminars?

Hi,

I recently learnt about this method through an insurance agent friend. He goes to companies and gets them to let him talk about insurance to their staff and then the interested ones will fill out a form and let him talk to them.

He says this benefits the companies as it allows them to conduct free training for their staff. I was thinking if this would work with a entrepreneurial talk- like start your own business etc?

Otherwise, what other kind of offers would work for this kind of "traffic"?

Thanks!

A "start your own business" talk would not work at a business and they would not be interested in letting you host it--unless they're stupid. You don't want to do anything that will be in direct competition with them, which includes recruiting their employees to stop being their employees.

My 9-5 has lots of people come in: Insurance, Aflac, Chiropractors, Masseuses, Eye Care Specialists, etc. We work in an office. If you want to think a little outside-the-box, tell us what this company does & what niche they're in and what problems the employees who work there might have that you can solve--without interfering in the companies plans.

I agree with Sharpay. They would be fools for letting you give entrepreneurial talks in a workplace.

Most companies that allow these types of seminars are doing so because the presenters are providing something of value. It's a good format for investment advisers, insurance salespeople, etc.

If you don't sell anything like that maybe you could be a broker. Get the appointments for insurance salespeople in exchange for a fee.
