How Much Do You Charge for MONTHLY G+ Local / What Do You Do Monthly?

Hey guys, for those who have Google+ Local clients meaning that you've setup their profile, how much do you charge them PER MONTH to "maintain and keep their rankings"?

Secondly, what really is involved to "maintain the rankings" after the G+ profile is setup?

My understanding is you keep on building citations and maybe some social bookmarks, but how many is enough to maintain rankings in top 7 assuming that you've gotten there after the initial setup.

Any thoughts?

You really have to price your services based on the industry. Attorneys & other higher competition niches will pay more. For setting up their G+Local Account & 1st month of SEO tasks I charge $750-$3500, and then a monthly retainer of $200-$1700 But it all depends on what they want done. I package other services like video submissions, hq press releases, etc.

As for your second question.... Sometimes yes, but most cases no... All depends on the competition. You shouldn't focus on the minimum amount of work to squeeze by. Exceeding expectations ads a ton of value to your service and you'll retain your clients longer. We build citations for our clients, along other SEO tasks including link building, mymap creation, video submissions, etc.

I'm in a similar boat to Matt Lee. Pay a little extra upfront, and then a monthly fee to maintain my service. Adding sweeteners really helps to give the client a feeling of service above and beyond what is expected, and it increases the flow of communications.

The G+ thing obviously depends on the niche. Some niches are quite easy, while others really do take work. You can get a good idea of what is necessary for maintaining the G+ rankings by checking the Google Plus Unlocked (WSO) for what to do. There's an entire new world in there to discover.

    Good luck.
