Hey

I am trying to install openvbx but after i upload the and go to the install i get some error

Install OpenVBX

That is the link to my install on my free testing server, it is not the server because on my local xwamp and on hostgator i get the same freaking error, i also tried their forum but that seems to be dead when it comes to this problem....

Any solutions would be great...

Thanks

Dave

  • Does the install hang at step 5 for you?

I tried searching for a solution and eventually gave up.

  • Have you ever install self hosted wordpress manually before? The steps basically the same.

    Create database
    Create user
connect user to database, set all permission
    Sign up to twilio
    Get the api key
    Input everything

It's simple enough. If you need help with it PM me, I'll install it for you

    • I've installed openVBX several times over the years and once I have all those greens it's always good. You might need to switch hosts.
  • Which host are you using? I tried it on Bluehost and couldn't figure out why I couldn't get past step 5.

    • I'm on a VPS so I have a custom setup. I had to install a couple of the program dependencies myself to get it working at first. Now I can install it on any domain I need to on my server.

It's now literally a five minute process getting it installed.
  • I"m sure someone on fiverr can get this done for you - it's simple. Fixing the SMS plugins so they actually do what they're supposed to was a bit tougher.
  • I have many openvbx installs on hostgator sites and I have never had a problem. PM me is you still can't get this to work, I'll see what I can do.
  • Thank you all but i figured it out all by myself

Somehow there was a problem with the files i downloaded, now i got a new set of files and it all worked smoothly from their.

  • This will not work if your site is hosted on 1and1. Took 3 hours to figure that out.
