      Autoresponder

Website design (or re-design) or website rental

      SEO

      Lead-Gen

Social media (Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, YouTube and Pinterest)

      Reputation management.

Some of these may be back-end services or upgrades.

As previously mentioned, claiming and optimizing their Google+ Local listing, website rental and Social Media management should provide a big increase in their customer base.

        I nearly forgot...

        Video testimonials from happy clients...

Video "tour" of the salon and barbershop.

Video of the business owner himself/herself introducing their business to their potential clients.

All these videos can be uploaded to YouTube etc. and then added to the website and Facebook, Twitter, LI etc..

Diagnose their marketing and sales process first.

Look for fast and easy wins.

It could be an existing ad not being tracked
therefore they don't know what's working or not.

      Then make the ad better.

They aren't spending more money to get
more revenue, which gives them the highest ROI.

      Best,
      Ewen

    SMS service.

What do you guys to on Tuesday afternoons? Are you guys slow? Everyone's sitting around, or you only have 2 people working?

Can I show you a way to instantly reach your previous customers with a special offer at that exact moment? Why not offer them 20% off if they come in with the next two hours? Today only~!

    They love that stuff.

In the past, I've offered salon owners a website where they could accept appointments, display business information, services, location, etc. (all the typical aspects of a business website) - and it's been quite a success.

As more and more salon clients start to use their mobile phone, social media, and computers often having online appointment setting is almost a must. Many salon owners who have been on edge about getting a website will jump on the idea.

Here's a great Wordpress theme to get you started:

This post hits a special place in my heart. For the past year I've been specializing in salons and spas. Why? Because each salon and spa has individual business owners that pay rent so one spa can actually mean 3-4 deals.

What I focus on selling with spas is mobile. I explain the value of engaging the customers on the phones. Let's face it their customers are making appointments with them on the phones right?

I sell a QR code package that links to a mobile squeeze page so they can start each building their email lists. I explain to them that by building up an email database of their clients they can mail out specials and incentives when they're having a slow day. The QR code I tell them to place on their business cards and all of the promotional material.

These deals often lead into a full mobile website solution.

E-Commerce facility to sell products - although this may open legal issues but if they sell products of their own or have merchandise etc that they have legal rights to sell where ever then this could be an option.

Print Services are an extremely easy sell. (brochures, rack cards, business cards, flyers, postcards, etc). I've sold high end business cards to salons many times for example.

Saturation mail works really well if you can team up with other businesses to lower the cost and share the same postcard. Can bring in lots of new customers right in their neighborhood if the offer is good.

There are a number of good MLM programs that can be found in a Google search that sells perfumes, hair products etc. I know of a friend who does quite well with his MLM visiting and selling nice smelling goodies.

You could even offer a mobile site at the same time and if you can produce one cheaply, offer as a free bonus on big orders.

An easy sell to any salon or spa is the reverse groupon services. So with a lot of these businesses getting sucked into the expense world of the groupon, find out if they are one of them and offer them customer generating services that have a better ROI. It is actually easier to sell them on customer generation services if they are have not used groupon I find.

Also client retention services is also another big groupon related service that is easy to sell. Find out what spas/salons are NOT on groupon and go talk them about how you can help them maintain their clients in this world of groupon hoppers that will switch hair salons to save 5 bucks. So coupon services, print/email newsletters for client retention, etc etc.

Groupon has sky rocketed my hair salon service sales because I can position my services/products directly against their competition that IS using groupon.
