Shows up for me. There was not a problem loading it at all. Try another browser.

Either Google Dance for Your site(wait few days, should showing up with better ranking normally) or Sandboxed? I would wait few days..

My site is locksmithmyrtlebeach.NET (.NET not .COM.)
I'm not sure if those of you who say you see it are seeing my site or the .COM site.
    I'm looking and I can't find it.

It was definitely the .net site I was looking at, as I double checked it with your link.

I saw it on page 2 of G.

Bizarre how we are all getting such different results. I get nothing on Firefox
and I even tried using Hide My Ass- nothing.

I wonder what locals are seeing

      Todd,

I helped a locksmith with the same problem about 6 months back. His website bounced all over the place just like you described.

He asked me to look at his site. I made one correction and his page started showing up on the first page of Google.

So I went to the website locksmithmyrtlebeach.net that you built. I right clicked the landing page and read your code.

      As I read through your meta description code, which I'm showing below;

<meta name="description" content="We are the Locksmith in Myrtle Beach you can depend on for low prices and fast service. Friendly professional service, whether you are locked out of your car or home call us! We also handle transponder keys, make keys and can handle all of your commercial needs to - everything from safe installation to complete lock replacement. Call us first!" />

I noticed that the page's description content might need editing. From what I read at Google this tag provides a short description of the page. In some situations this description is used as a part of the snippet shown in the search results.

The webpage's description content doesn't appear to be short and there are a lot of keywords stuffed into the description content meta tag.

I know Google frowns on that and like the locksmith I helped, once I edited his meta tag his website stayed on page one. It did not always rank up near the top but it never went beyond page 1.

I went over to Google's webmaster tools help page and watched this short video. Meta tags - Webmaster Tools Help

Maybe there's an answer in there for you.

I think you chose a poor domain name. Since most people will attach a .com to a name, you are basically advertising another company. It is a very uphill battle that is probably not worth your time given the other competition in Myrtle Beach (S.C.)

Personally, I'd give up on the .net and find something people will be looking for without having to pay attention to the correct URL. From what I understand, EMDs (Exact Match Domains) are losing favor with Google (and probably the other search engines as well) and don't give as much advantage as they used to.

What are you talking about?! He's clearly wanting to rank the domain... Type-in traffic is one thing, but this is all about rankings in Google. People aren't going to click on a Google listing and say "Oh, Gee... looks like I went to the .net... I should replace with .com. Nope.

This kind of information is why I always say "TEST EVERYTHING" and don't believe everything you read on the "trusted" internet.

No, EMDs aren't losing their favor in Google. Link Building is what has changed. LOL... it's hard NOT to find an exact match domain not ranking in the top 10 for local terms.

I have plenty of exact match domains that rank... still.

Todd - get some links to the website and you'll start to see movement and stability. I don't see any inbound links (except what you've got on this thread).

    Hi there,

Shows up #1 for the exact match phrase. The .com site is #2.

I'm in America sitting at Atlanta airport using the lounge Wifi and Firefox if that's any help.

    All the best,

    Sasha.
