Question About Skype Incoming Calls

Im a few steps away from getting a skype numbers (2) for new business but the question i have is based on the following setup.

As you know i can forward the skype number to my cell phone BUT the question come here

How do i track a incoming call to my phone (cell phone or landline) to know Who is calling and From Where is that number coming because i will have 2 skype numbers in 2 different type of business.

Or what service will be better that skype

  • Sign up for (2) free Google Voice numbers, one for each biz then forward them both to separate numbers that way you'll know what's what. You just can't forward both GV numbers to the same phone.

  • It works good for me so far. The only thing I noticed that's kinda off with GV is when it transcribe the voice messages, it's all kinds of jacked up sometimes but it gets the job done.

    I've tried to forward more than 1 GV number to my cellphone but have not had success with it. Once I confirm the forward, the prior account is no longer connected.

  • Yup, transfer to Google Voice. That's an easy way to do it and what I do as well. Another way you could do it, which is what I do for clients, is use a service like Call Tracking Metrics and forward the number to one of their numbers with the "whisper" feature one. With this feature on, it will give you a little message, so you could say "Lead from X" and then connect the call.

    i have another question is possible to buy a Cisco phone or any other that comes with 2 or more lines ? then setup the 2 skype numbers to that 2 line phone? one for each it will work?
