Are large travel sites shutting out small local hotels?

Seems weird since those sites have put me in small mom and pops many times.

Honestly the whole blog post there rings out in my mind like someone trying to cover up they were the problem.

IMO when a customer complains and has that many problems they really only have one problem.... "themselves".

Read their responses here to the negative reviews to see what I mean.

And always remember when eating or staying at a place you are not familiar with the negative reviews and the responses to them will tell you the truth about the hotel.

They had over 600 good and very good reviews against 15 poor ones... They seem a little long winded on their responses, but that's typical of many people. I haven't found anything really wrong with their responses.

Their responses and their post came off as argumentative.

I grew up with a mother like that so I notice it.

That tells me when something goes wrong (which doesn't appear often due to their scores but I know how to get loads of real good reviews so I know it is very possible to control this) that it will not end well. Thus I suspect that the issues in their blog post were likely caused in part by them. I personally suspect that the cancellations were caused by one of them.

These travel sites even the playing field for thousands of small mom and pop hotels. If there were issues with these sites we would hear about it more often. But what we have here is an isolated case, similar to their negative reviews. But reading that blog and reading their replies to negative reviews I am 99% certain that this issue and likely many of their negative reviews are a direct result of their (or one of their) personalities.

Some people don't have the skills to handle when things go bad. They freak out and make things far worse and then blame the other side. Those of us who have dealt with individuals like this know how to spot them.

Aaron, you're way too argumentative. I am 99% certain, you're always the cause of every problem!
