All Google+ reviews posted on the same day of the month

In looking at some prospects for online reputation management, I've come across a couple of businesses who have several reviews, but all done on the same day of the month, either on the 3rd or the 28th.

For example, place 1 has hundreds and hundreds of reviews, each on the 3rd of the month though. Like each month - 1/03, 2/03, 3/03, 4/03, etc

Place 2 only has about 5 reviews, and they aren't every month, but they're on the exact same day of the month - like 1/28, 2/28, 5/28, 6/28, and 8/28

I think this is something like LBL Robot posting reviews, not legitimately entered reviews from an actual customer, and the reason I think so is that all the other businesses I've seen have different days of the month when reviews are posted, and it's not in any pattern. The one done on the same day of the month seems like a pattern to me.

Have you noticed this, and do you think it's something like LBL Robot?

I'm completely avoiding using services like these because they violate the Google+ TOS, and actually partnering with businesses on getting genuine reviews, while marketing to their current customers. I think this is an opportunity for me to go after either these places with possible bot reviews, or work with their competitors to outrank them.

What do you think?

The highly consistent dates make it suspicious I agree but depending on what they are asking of their clients and the possible repeated nature of the their attempts; you could be messing with sleeping giant. that is unless your right and their fake

Some industries, Companies or even people send out statements, e-letters, social campaigns like clockwork. On the First and Fifteenth the statements, the 25th? The eLetter. Social Campaigns are not automated yet for us though .

That's a good point. I will definitely approach this in a way to not make them mad, and maybe come at thos by going to competitors that don't rank as well, and show them what reviews can do.

    Thanks for the input!

I think that's a great approach, as a decision maker I would be more convinced seeing you compete at getting us reviews than talking about them. Make your focal point "me" .

A large amount of our reviews are grouped together over like a two week period for the most part because we made a big push to get our best customers to provide honest reviews for us online.

This could be similar but still seems a bit fishy.

I think Google doesn't show the exact date the review was written on anymore, it shows you when it was reviewed by Google.

I think you may be right. It's really, really weird still, that these places, and I've found a couple others, have their reviews like this. Most places that I see have them, like Aaron said, sort of scattered.

It's good food for thought for a second, but not to distract myself too much about it. I don't make any money thinking about stuff like this - I do make it prospecting!

Thanks for the great responses, folks

I don't think this was LBL Robot as I have used them before and the review I had posted (which were real reviews from postcards) we posted on different days of the week each time.

I was looking at Review sentry to filter reviews, a great idea but a little expensive. I am now using LBL Robots review guard which is similar to review sentry but half the price and they collect the reviews to post on my clients site.
