What link building strategies do you implement for your clients?

Hi Guys,
i am just wondering what strategies you guys do for your offline clients? I have been talking to 2 companies that are heavily involved in creating their own link networks and their results are very good to say the least.

Me personally i am a fan of traditional whitehat link building methods. I use:
-Content marketing strategies
-guest posts
-broken link building
-post sponsoring (yeah some paid links. Go tell matt cutts on me LOL)
-Some tiered linking.

I am interested in what other warriors are doing?

Are you using whitehat methods or going down the blackhat lane?

Content marketing strategies. Unfortunately i don't use blackhat methods, yeah really i don't. I could now have succeeded using blackhat but i don't cheat.

Loaded question. Our firm does some serious SEO for clients and employ a very diverse and multifacited strategy based on real world testing. In my honest opinion if you don't test on your own properties (we have over 200 to run analysis on) then you really are just aiming in the dark.

No SEOMoz or Matt Cutts is going to give it to you straight and there really is just as much an art as their is a science to it.

    For starters some recent changes:
    - 20% max exact match anchor text direct to your homepage is still great
    - 80% to home page needs to be LSI, naked urls, etc
    - High PR links to your homepage only (think high quality web 2.0, private blog links, purchased links)
    - No wiki links to your money site only to 2nd tiers as most are "no follow" and will dilute your follow to no follow ratio
    - Link diversity of 20+ platforms
    - Scrapbox and xrummer to 3rd tier only
    - 100% unique content on 2nd tier
    - No over optimization of on site SEO
    - Article Marketing almost does more damage than good

    etc etc etc.......

Too tired to keep going and my thoughts are getting mumbled lol (long day at the office).

Anyone is welcome to add me to Skype to discuss @ MarketologyTeam.
