What is the best offline service/s to offer ?

Hi folks,

I've just set up shop selling offline services to local business's. Basically I was wondering what are the best services to offer clients via cold calling. When I say best services I mean something I can outsource and stream line easily. I have good sales skills and would like to spend most of my time selling and prospecting as they are my strengths. Im currently offering web sites and I have a good facebook management wso I got from Dr Ben.
Apart from websites and social media management what would you recommend?
Thanks for all advice in advance :-)

If you want to focus on selling why not focus on selling completely?

I am sure some warriors here could bring you on as a 1099 sales person. Let them worry about fullfillment and outsourcing and you do what you do best.

Thanks Aaron I have thought about that in the past and I'm glad you reminded me of the option.

With the number of threads we get here asking for advice on how to sell I think someone with experience selling could pick and choose who to work with.

Of course some of these guys may not know the value of sales and thus not pay right but I am sure there are people who do.

Too often I think people try to do it all or try to outsource it all (I blame Tim Ferris but love him to death otherwise). When building a business you have to look at the whole picture and in the end the owner shouldn't really be doing anything but should be able to do everything if they had to.

For someone who loves selling there is nothing wrong with just selling. Hell there are very few careers out there that have the pay potential of selling. For someone with selling skills they might be better off working for others (employee or 1099) till they are confident to train others. Training others to sell is one of the biggest money makers for a great sales person.

Not sure if this is a future you would see for yourself or not but figured I would put it out there for you to consider.

      Hi Aaron

Your right on the money. I would love to get into sales training once Ive spent some time in the trenches. In fact my idea is to start hiring people to sell a service that I am having success selling and that can be outsourced or delegated. I also agree that a business person should be able to handle any part of his business and I suppose that means I need to take some time each day and educate myself on the different services. I hear alot of talk about mobile at the moment and it sure seems to be a hot topic. I am focusing on web design so Im going to stay the course for now because Im still new to providing this service and I dont want to to get the bright flashy syndrome that seemed to plagued me for months. Thanks again for your advice.

hypnopotomus, Seo is still hot right now local businesses
are still in need of good placement on Google.

There's plenty of good companies you could outsource the work too..

    1. Email marketing (set up squeeze page, start building their email list, setup automatic follow up messages)

    2. Website redesign/design with the same features as the best websites you can find for the industry (testimonials, social media, a special offer of some sort on the website, a book an appointment now link etc

    3. Mobile sites with their main site

    4. SEO (submitted to local directories, on page seo, link building etc)

    5. Setting up and managing their social media business pages

    6. Set up a blog for them and maintain

    7. Provide an article and a press release per month with unique content focused on the industry

One thing I have learned is that there are SO many different services you can offer your clients.

The good news is you have the options available for your choosing, pick the ones that most resonate with your personality and things that you feel are valuable for your clients.

Rather than outsourcing if you really want to focus entirely
on bringing in clients it might make more sense to joint venture
with one or several really good internet marketers who can
provide different services and possibly even different services
    at different price ranges.

Then in the calls you make you can focus on working out what
services are likely to serve the client best and refer them to your
joint venture partner who can help them the most.

    Kindest regards,
    Andrew Cavanagh

There's only one thing businesses want .... Leads, leads, and more leads. Sell them leads and you and your client will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Repuation management is fairly easy to sell, if you show them thier reviews on Yelp. This process sell itself a majority of the time.

Offering to set up and manage a blog for them can be a great way to some residual income.

Other than that, the usual web design, SEO, social presence management always sell well.

Do not focus on a single niche at first, go with a complete branding package and pick from it what the customers are in need from it.

Too many offline marketers are making the mistakes of focusing on only 1 or 2 niches; broaden your portfolio; it would not hurt at all.. The wider your net is, the more fishes you will catch.

I believe most of the services have already been mentioned above by other posters; do not overwhelmed yourself too much. First analyze the prospects and identify what are the services you can offer to each of them.

    Goodluck

The aim of marketing is to make selling superfluous. The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well that the product or service fits him and sells itself.....
