from a recent study, i found that running a Kindergarten / Preschool is very profitable business now a days. Now i want to know besides marketing online,
what offline marketing strategies you will suggest in the initial stage after launching the Preschool?

Find a lead list that tells you the average age of people in the households and lumps them all into the same vicinity... and start calling famillies with kids nearing preschool age.

The "haines" directory is what that would be in the US. Its the most targeted directory for residential marketing... They probably have something similar in india at a library... divides people by the street name, and tells you all of their demographic info.

    Income
    number of household members
    ages
    .... all that good stuff.

    Its updated constantly.

Postcard direct mail is HUGE for promoting preschools and daycare. It works extremely well.

Have you ever used the haines directory for that Jake? It would be a good resource for b2c, and "is".

I know this is an old thread, but I'll reply anyway.

There is a local preschool/daycare here that has a table at the Farmer's Market every Saturday.

She is booked solid with a loooong waiting list.

The booth is $20 a week. She says it's the best 20 bucks she's ever spent on marketing. Outperforms everything else by miles.

Interesting. I know of a local bakery that's done very well at the farmer's market.
A bike shop owner is also giving it a go. His "work bikes" which have trailers and
are built to carry things, get lots of attention.

Ya never knows, til ya tries.

There are several people I know who don't sell goods, but they have booths at the Farmer's Market. Results are mixed. The ones who love it would never stop. The ones who don't love it think they threw $20 or so out the window.

        Never hurts to try.

Hi, I have about 6 child care centres as clients and I manage a range of marketing services for them both online and offline.

To give you an idea of what I have provided for them over the years I will outline it below. There is not doubt, once they have achieved a set number of enrollments, these businesses are hugely profitable. In Australia, this is a massive industry and the government matches the daily rate for child care so it can be tremendously profitable once centres have 60% occupancy or over (based on they operating costs).

Ok, back to the point, here are some marketing ideas I have done for child care centres currently and in the past:

    - Signage - at local sports fields and enroute to the centre - bus stop signage, football field signage on the roads that lead to the centres within usually a 5km radius.
    - Website development - obviously very important
    - Social media management - daily posts and advertising
    - Content development and PR - especially for new families moving to town and when the centres are nominated for awards etc
    - Letterbox drops - not my idea, the clients however I don't recommend them
    - Signage at centre - ensuring they have good and clear signs and installing a billboard at one of the centres that is on a main road
    - Open days and special events

The focus really should be on WOM and testimonials, as the centres basically fill when people recommend the centre to their friends and family. You could also incorporate an enrolment offer which does work well too.

    Good luck.
