G Local + listing w/o physical address

I was telling a prospect about local + and he wants a listing but works out of his home and doesn't want to use his home address. He's a locksmith. Are there ways around that? Thanks.

    Look for private mail boxes / virtual offices that Google won't be able to identify. These can be hard to track down. hint: Googling for such a thing probably is a good idea if only to see which ones NOT to use. If you can find it via Google... so can Google LOL

    He can try networking through the Chamber of Commerce to find another business owner willing to rent out space and mail. Not sure of the legalities, but should be pretty straight forward.

    It's going to cost him something, though. Either that or he has to suck it up and use his home address.

      I use a po box.
      I do not place po on the address line.
      what the normal address would be,

      Big Town Locksmith
      P.O. Box 777
      Big Town, State zip code

      Get the street address of the post office -
      For instance: 2233 Apple Street


      Big Town Locksmith
      777
      2233 Apple Street
      Big Town, State zip code

      What I do is remove P.O. from the line and put in the street address of the post office. It all depends how the people at the post office go about sorting the mail.

        The post office now has a program that offers regular looking address that actually is a po box address. It is similar to what is described above. I actually use it. In my case I would layout the above address to look this way...

        2233 Apple Street - # 777

        Not all post offices offer this program. Simply check with you local office. Also, they do require that you complete a form instructing them that mail to your po box will be coming in this format.

        Lastly, I did read somewhere that Google+ was getting wise to the use of UPS boxes. Imagine it wont be long before they add the post office addresses into this same database

            There's an option to not display the address.

            You would need to enter the address first, but you can choose not to show it.

    You can definitely try to find a Virtual Office but Google for some reason the last few years has been coming really hard on Locksmith guys because a lot of people spammed this niche big time. If he uses a home office why not use the home address? he needs to hide it in the dashboard anyways since he serves clients at their location.

    The catch is, you have to paste the home address all over the net to build up citations. Some sites allow you to hide it, but you don't WANT to hide it since ranking is the goal.

    Also... Can't use PO box. You won't get an approved listing that way.
