What if you did something ridiculous making hand held signs?

This is half serious.

Half ridiculous.....

But what if someone had signs made, like picket signs, and then used them in really high traffic times of the day to drive people to your landing page and then your offer(s).

I'm talking similar to how people use bandits signs. Something like:

Make $497 / Day From Home
Don't Believe Me, Don't Call
555.555.5555

or

Working A Job Is
BULLS#!T!
Make $9,987 / Month Online
YourWebsite.com

For entertainment & a little marketing, you could even film it and put the videos online.

you can always pay people to hold the signs for you as well....

Thoughts? I am posting this a little to late at night and I'm a bit off my rocker?

    Not Sure about picketing, but my brother uses bandit signs as one of his tactics, and sends people to a pre recorded voice message... it works well for him generating MLM leads.

    A Short one hour drive putting them out can generate 10-20 call ins within a week, not a bad time investment for such an amount of valuable leads.

    Funny story I have here..... In my city, there's a "Little Caesars" pizza shop. They make employees stand out in front of the building holding a big sign promoting their $5 anytime Hot N' Ready pizza.

    There is one particular girl (around 18 or 19 years old) that wears head phones, dances, does tricks with the signs and all kinds of stuff. The girl put up a facebook fan page as "Caesar Girl" and had like 1500 fans overnight! It's a show every time you go past that corner and everyone honks at her.

    My point is, I think if you find someone who is entertaining and gets people's attention that it could possibly work.

    Outside the Lakers games and concerts at Staples Center there are preachers that have these big signs that look like this:

    They aren't your typical homemade looking picket type signs. They are really well made.

    When you get up close you can see they are made from a tough rip-stop nylon and the graphics are very sharp and clear.

    A creative business could create some signs and "picket" local events.

    A couple of young entrepreneurs attending the University of Missouri started a small marketing company called Make Me Your Ad. A business would pay for t-shirts and for people to wear them in public and at public events. See: Make ME Your Ad | Facebook

    To take the idea further, you could add QR codes to the t-shirts and flyer/card/swag distribution to the mix for added stickiness. Depending on the make-up of the crowd (think auto show) and the shape of the person (think California Dime) wearing the QR code t-shirt, there'd be a lot of scanning.
