Will you please hire better telemarketers?

I am personally sick of getting calls from people who....

1. Barely speak english
2. Have no idea what they are selling
3. Clearly are reading (badly) from a script
4. Using badly written scripts
5. Are clearly bored at their job

If you don't believe in your product or service to hire the best people to sell it why would I believe in it?

You can make so many more sales if you just stop being cheap and start believing in your product vs. believing in the dream of getting rich with little to no effort.

Not that bad but I can only imagine how many people here fail by sending these men and women out prospecting for them.

The one this morning literally sounded like she must have been making 50 cents/hour.

Just wish people would believe in their services themselves enough to hire good staff to represent their brands.

I really felt bad for the girl and I actually tried to listen for a min but I honestly had no idea what she was even trying to sell me. I tried googling the company while she was on the phone and couldn't find it either. I finally decided to just say not interested and hang up.

To add to this, you ******* doing unsolicited sms blasting and voicemail drops are in for a rude awakening. Running up call tracking and voip costs, annoying the piss out of potential customers, and getting an education of what reputation management really is is just the beginning.

And for christs sake, if someone asks you to remove them from your list, do yourself a favor and do it.

I see this being promoted all the time... personally, I can't imagine recommending such an invasive service to any of my close clients with potential for such backlash.

Out of curiosity, why all the hate for voicemail drops? Isn't it more convenient for a consumer/business owner to listen to your pitch at his own convenience instead of being interrupted during business hours?

VM drops aren't a great idea. Here's why:

        NO CONVERSATION.

More unsolicited communication. And we know what happens with the large majority of that...

        1. It normally gets to the wrong person in all but the smallest companies.
        2. No conversation as Jason already pointed out.
        3. It interrupts people in the morning when many are the busiest.

That's not to say a voicemail drop will be bad but if you actually do each one yourself vs. just spamming a message (which I don't like) you might as well call when they are there. If they are busy then you leave a voicemail. They will answer it later in the day when they are more open to hearing the message.

The lists aren't filtered, and the deployers don't give a **** anyway. I would never hire someone like that.

90 second voicemails being left on all my Voip lines and call tracking numbers, for which I pay by the MINUTE... and you stay on the list unless you respond (meaning the system redials you everyday until saturation, unless someone removes your from the list, or you contact them which re-categorizes you on to the call back list.)

You have to understand most of these numbers aren't even tied to a retail location. They're scraping and auto loading them into a dialer system. This has been a problem for me for a long time, I've just never seen anyone talk about it.

So yeah, people are costing me money, literally, just to listen to their bullshit pitch. Yeah I'm pissed.
