Iamnameless has been a huge help, always love his posts. Also the fact that he is never trying to sell anything on here and just giving helpful advice.

There's to many to post here....I can't pick just one.

Over the last few years, I've been in different stages of my business and there's always been one or two Warriors that have really stepped up to help me out.

I owe a lot to this place!

Health issues had me under the weather for many months now. Four surgeries later, I'm in reasonable health again. Hopefully I can contribute a little more regularly in the future.

I would definitely say I'm not the richest offliner on the WF. However, I've made a few pennies here or there.

I just had the thought that making a list of your favorite Warriors is a way to get LOTS of "Thanks". An idea I make use after we all forget I mentioned this.

But really;

These are the main hitters to me, just on the volume of great information they share.

There are five or six others I could name, and you know who you are.

The idea of the Copywriting forum being a source of great contributions strikes me as right. I spend 99% of my time here on the offline room.

So...affiliate gurus, SEO guys, WSO guys, and all the other guys kind of get ignored by me, just because I don't see them. But I'll check out the copyewriting forum. I know it's about the most important skill you can have, online or offline.

Unfortunately there is a lot of sniping at each other over there.
On an occasion you'll find valuable content.

And in the archives there are lot's of good stuff.

One good aspect of it is your case for something can be put under intense scrutiny
so going in you want to have a rock solid case to back yourself up.

As long as the scrutiny is based on rock solid proven principles I dont see the issue... its just when novices start blabbing off and you cant determine whats real or whats ego that isnt good. I want to learn better copywriting myself, but there are so many critics its hard to tell who is talking about solid stuff and who is just blabbing off.

John if you are serious about learning about copywriting then my recommendation
is go over to marketingexperiments.com.

At first it might appear academic.

Don't let that impression hold you back because they have a library of over 1,000 split tests they conducted.

To make sure you know what is a split test is,
it's to test a variation of the existing website
and see if it beats the original.

This is done on clients websites.

There's no hiding from their mistakes if they get what they think should work bombs.

It either does or doesn't and the clients know it.

Every new client taken on they are put to the test to see if they can beat the performance of their existing website.

So real world battle tested knowledge freely shared there.

Haha, I suppose you're right. That wasn't my intention though. It's nice to be thanked, but it doesn't put food on the table.

It's a cute idea.

If the copywriters and offliners teamed up more often, you would see some amazing fireworks. I'm in quite a good position in that sense, as a professional copywriter myself, and doing offline work (including providing offline material) it makes it easy for me to stand out.

Having said that, a lot of offline guys are GREAT copywriters already... they're just not aware of it. Copywriting is salesmanship in print. Some of you guys speak a better sales letter than most "copy gurus" could ever write.

Is that any different to the offline forum?

I think the pattern is, wherever there are people really DOING (not just thinking) there will always be a battle for who knows best.

When someone tries to dispute your proven, tested advice, it can get heated...

... especially when it's someone who might not be all they say they are, which IS a massive issue in all forums here, and everywhere else.

Hands down I would say Lee Cole. I got my "real" start in offline marketing when I bought his V2 Method and I haven't looked back sense. I owe him for that product

I think one thing this thread has pointed out (besides me forgetting to mention a few that I love) is that this board contains massive value.

The percentage of people on this board that you can trust and who are making money (freelancing, employee, or business owner) is huge. You can spend a lot of time on other forums and listen to a lot of people who talk a good game. But here you get to listen to people who are really out there doing it.

Wouldn't be surprised if some of those we mentioned are pulling 7 figures. The difference is on this forum people don't boast about how much they made (and those are almost always inflated). They get respect from the knowledge they hand out for free. We don't need to see their bank accounts because we can tell by their advice that they know what they are talking about.

You don't get that a lot on "making money" forums. We are very lucky to have that. I know personally I can ask any question and I will get real world advice from multiple quality sources.

Tiffany has been around here a looong time. She's synonymous with PLR material and straight up IM training without the hype. A good cat, by all accounts.

I agree. Also, the copywriting forum is laced with big earners, and a different breed, much like the offliners.

It's a crazy forum overall. All these different "rooms" and with such a different atmosphere and demographic in each.

Most people stay in the main forum and IMO, that's probably not a bad thing

Andrew (above) is really the guy that got it all started IMO. Although there are other teachers , he is the grandfather of the WF "Offline" BOOM! That isnt really arguable, I dont think. He himself may be the only one who wouldnt give him credit for that. We all owe him alot, even though some newbies dont know it.

Ken Michaels is the most brilliant offline marketer I know of. I cant say enough about him, he is one of those guys that you might not have any idea how brilliant he actually is, because he doesn't let on publicly. What Ken thinks of as failure, for most people would be considered unbelievable success!

He is also the most brilliant at warm lead generation that I know of, and has SEVERAL systems for it that are AMAZING!

Personally I like SDentrepreneur's posts alot too.

There are a whole slew of them for sure.

Ps. John Bowers isnt a warrior, but he is the greatest offliner I have ever known, he never even leaves his desk, isnt a salesman, nor a webdesigner. He is just great at delegation and had a great business plan.

I really admire great delegators. His best talent is managing managers. He runs two huge call centers, never leaves his desk. People just come to it when he calls, and he tells him what he wants, and they go out and make the salespeople do it. lol

They recruit, they train, they write pitches. All he does is say "Make it work, or I will find someone who can", but he's really good at doing that.

Although having said that, all results come from IDEAS.

So, even though tested ideas get top priority, off the wall, untested ideas should carry some merit too.

I think that's one of the biggest problems I see in the IM community. People throw away ideas and expect specific results, despite the fact that doing things the way everyone else does them seldom leaves you "above the cattle" as I like to say.

Marketing is really all about trying new things, standing out, and engaging with people at the same time. So, whilst tested methods are obviously a "safe" bet, I think more people in this community need to put weight on the unknown...

... because it's the unknown that ultimately becomes "known" for making people rich.

I wholeheartedly agree Nick. Some things people suggest though are so far outside of principles that they clearly arent in the ballpark... for instance, it doesnt take much to understand that a square wheel wont roll... a collapsible round one is a fresh idea that might work, but a square one clearly wont and that isnt hard to critisize and say "'Man you are waaay to far out of the ballpark".

However in keeping with your words, which are true, here I will give you Og Mandino's... and it will confirm what you are saying.

"Experience is comparable to fashion, an idea that worked yesterday will be completely unthinkable to tomorrow. Trends come and go, only principles endure. Furthermore the VALUE of experience diminishes with the time it takes to acquire her special wisdom, the end finds it wasted on dead men...

The value of experienced is usually quoted by old men who nod wisely and speak stupidly....

Not having the value of experience, shall I succeed? I have already stumbled in ignorance and fallen into pools of self pity... and the ignorant deeds of my past already loom to jeaopardize my future...

Hence I will walk on, unencumbered, in the presence of all men with neither the handicapp of meaningless experience, nor the weight of unnecessary knowledge... I will simply persist, and I will succeed".

The above quote probably isnt that accurate, I use to have the whole book memorized , but now I quote it less than accurately.

Back when I was younger I used it to challenge all the old men nodding wisely and speaking stupidly (lol) saying I had to rebuttal three times on every call...and I persisted and hit my quoted without doing it.

In any event,

Persistence, and fire in the "belly", as they say, trumps experience every time. Trends come and go...Just remember that the basic "principles", such as "Square wheels dont roll", endure and never change.

When I see a square wheel I call it out, because my experience see's the principle behind it...but Im all about new ideas.

Heck, teach me some! (Actually you already have taught me some).
